What could you achieve in 2013 in poker? What are the plans for 2014?

For me 2013 was a pretty good year. I started playing poker (MTTs) seriously again and returned to CC after a year break.
I earned double the amount of money that I had been earned in my whole poker carreer before and now I have enough bankroll to play in cool regular tournaments frequently.

My plan for 2014 is to play poker at least as often as in 2013. I hope I will be able to get in top 3 at least in one big GTD tournament. :)

I played quite a bit less this year than any other year, so I won considerably less than usual. On the positive side, however, my win rate per tournament and per hour were both nicely above my historic averages.

How much I'll be able to play next year is unclear, so I haven't put any real thought into setting targets for myself.

As such I did not set goals for 2013, but that will change in 2014
My plans for 2014:
1. seriously explore at the English language
2. beat microlimits
3. be in good physical shape
4. play offline on live tournament (EPT)

2013 was alright to me poker wise. Not sure of the exact #s as I haven't done the calculations but I'm probably up $1k or so from playing freerolls/microstakes cash. Haven't played much in the past few months due to getting a new job and my game has gone to crap since.

Haven't decided what I have for poker goals in 2014 just yet.

2013 was one of the worst poker year for me, so, I think it's impossible to get worse in 2014. My goal is to at least have fun playing because this year was only a stress game to me.

I'd say that's pretty damn good switch!

I just started playing again a month or two ago. I'm down a few hundred, but seriously working on my game. I hope for 2014 to be a truly profitable year with a nice upward trending graph!

I hope to figure the cash game out as well, as most of my experience is in MTTs. I hope to get more final tables (say 1 a week), and a top 3 spot in a tournament at least every month (using proper BRM).

This year I lost about $5K. Wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't really need the money.

Don't think I'll be playing to much next year except for the freerolls.

So impressed that someone actually made over 150K, congratulations, it must be nice.

2013 was all about learning the fundimentals and hopefully 2014 will be about going deeper into the theory.

Don't forget how many times you broke poker sites and the interweb Alfie, was amazing how many times a single person took down (or was blamed for it) a pokersite during our freerolls in the last few months LOL.

As for me, 2013 was a new start to find where I want to focus and actually focus and stop my bleed. It was a giveup on it or refocus situation for me, and I stumbled back upon our very own CC in June after having originally joined like four years ago but never being active and having done so regret very much not getting active from Day 1.

I have to say I have been learning lots, found where I feel I plan to focus my efforts in the new year and as time has been going on certainly am feeling more and more accepted as a member of the family (LOVES U GUYS/GALS lol). I am certainly hoping to build on my experience and what I have learned in the new year, and work my way through stt limits following the ever coveted BRM.

2013 was better than 2012. I'll have a full write-up in my thread in BBC forum. Live cash games were very successful, hope to move up to $2/$5 games at the local casinos for more session this next year. Tournaments were disappointing but I'll still hit some of the larger ($500-$2500) regional ones this next year.

2013:

I never really played as much poker online as I did at home games.
But I'm glad that I did and glad that I learnt a lot and somehow improved my skills a little :)

2014:

I hope to be able to take part in the local poker tournament in my area. A first for everything! Will also consider trying out Zoom and Rush (and not be so intimidated by it) and hopefully build a slightly bigger bankroll from it.

Summary of 2013
Went broke a bunch of times.
I almost shipped the 60k rebuy for $15,467 :(

Had some decent cashes.

Plan for 2014
Focus on my career and play one or 2 recreational games - such as $15 180 mans. $60 45 mans. once I win either of those. that will be my bankroll

2013 - My first complete year of poker since learning to play.

2014 - I will continue to poodle along picking up bits here and there. Next thing for me to practice is putting people on ranges, determining what kind of player they are etc. And trying to remember what happened 3 hands ago if my shit memory will let me ! Plus playing in the CC Winter League of course.

2013 was a reboot for me with online poker. Not going bust (yet...lol) was a big improvement in brm, and crossing the $2k mark on Bovada was a bonus after starting in the red from prior years. I'm also in 3rd place of 20 heading into the final table of a live league I joined, with a decent shot at a nice prize pool.

However, I did not fare well in live casino cash and tournament play.

In 2014, I'd like to build to $5k online, play well in a WSOPC event, end the league season in 1st, and actually finish P90x.

On January 1, 2013 ....I had less than $1.00 in my online bankroll and a few fpp's....I really didn't want to deposit, and decided to try the "zero to hero" campaign that so many people glorify! It was rough---grinding the fun steps stt's , winning $1 here and there...built it to $10 once, lost it...built it back to about $20, lost it! Then, they took the fun steps away...so I was lost and just gave up for a couple of weeks. I play on sportsbook and one day I noticed an e-mail from them saying that they were giving me a $25 free bet in the sportsbook! Fortunately, I picked a winner and have built the bankroll up to about $120 now playing $1-$5 STT's.

My hopes for 2014.....play strictly to my bankroll limitations following a good BRM strategy. Currently, I am pretty well-rolled to play the $2 level. I would like to move up to $5 by July 1,2014 and be at $10 by the end of the year.
