I was told that all cards being equal that the suits strength are based alphabetical. Clubs being the lowest then Diamonds and then Hearts and Spades being the highest of suits. Sounds good, is it?

when a table first opens up they determine who gets the button by dealing one card to every player. The highest card wins. But what if two players get an ace. This is where the suits come into play. And it is in alphabetical like you said

i partially agree with you however in games like razz or stud if both players have a 2 or any other lower card the player with the weaker suit will be the one who is required to bring in.

^ this. Determining the bring-in during stud games is the only time suit strength ever matters in poker, and the order in OP is correct (clubs-diamonds-hearts-spades, lowest to highest).

I never knew this but for some reason every home game I've ever been to the A of spade was considered the highest. Which makes me wonder even more what comes next lol. I will have to ask sometime.

It's funny, I was talking about this with a friend the other day when we were talking about seven card stud. He asked me who would win if both players had A 2 3 4 5 flush but diff suits. I was pretty sure it was a chopped pot. Didn't knwo if suits came into play.

this. suits are only important at the beginning of the hand to determine which player is forced to bring in, however after that both A2345 straight flushes are equal and it would be a chopped pot.

There's no way possible for two different flushes to be present I don't know about 7 card stud, but any other form is a no. The suit rankings are spade, heart, diamond and clubs being lowest in suit

Suits do not enter into a poker game played at a casino...

...unless, as discussed above, you're playing a stud game and deciding who has to post the bring-in. casinos do that just the same as online and home games.
