Is this normal when playing a lot of poker? What do you do when you feel this way? What music would you recommend?

Are you serious mate?

If so, you should seek help ASAP.

PS: Don't blame it on poker or anything else.

Is this just a major tilt post after a bad session or are you seriously depressed? Because if you are you should definitely seek help.. If you're just feeling low I would stay off poker and do something else for a while, go out and socialize. But suicidal thoughts sounds a bit more serious than that. Do you have any ideas as to why you're feeling like this?

Suicidal thoughts? Definitely not over poker.

Can you elaborate on what leads you to feel this way? Is it a case of massive tilt, or have you risked (and lost) much more than you can afford?

Seek help it's not normal. You might need to go on medications, there are som alternatives to mild depression like B vitamins and St. John's wort (some studies show it helps).

I personally tend to scout out tall buildings &/or bridges. The other day I had to get the fire dept. here where I live, to grab a person off our roof (4 stories high only)..... I'm not sure what site they were playing on but I have a feeling it was Carbon.

You should stop playing Stud H\L and you will feel much better.

Stress I feel can bring out these emotions try to de-stress.
I suggest strip clubs for de-stressing you need lots of boobs and booze.

If you are at all serious I'd say you need to talk to a professional and not a poker forum. Otherwise you shouldn't post shit like this as it's not funny at all.

I'm not saying 'gonna kill myself. I'm just saying this is how i feel after constant bad beats. I'm also trying to go pro and im sure you guys have jobs and don't care if you loose. So when i loose its even worse cause i work minimum wage.

If these are the feelings u get after a string of bad beats.. you 100% should choose a different profession... Im assuming ur playin micro-low stakes if ur still workin min wage.. imagine how ull feel when u go on a bad swing when ur playing with hundreds or thousands instead of $5,$10, or even $25 gotta have a realllll thick skin if u want to be successful in the long run u should seriously reevaluate if this is the right thing for u as a job and maybe shoukd keep it as a hobby

I wish u the best on ur journey and hope you succeed but nothing is worth feeling suicidal over.. maybe u should try to see someone to help you with the mental side of poker it will probably help your game out alot

My question is.....are you on any medication? If so, check to see if any of them have side effects listing suicidal thoughts or depression. If not listed on the bottle, then check rxlist or drugs.com. If you find this is the case talk to your doctor about adjusting your meds. If you mention suicide to the doctor be prepared for him/her to take a drastic step, that you may really not want. So careful how you approach medical professionals they have legal liability/responsibility for covering their own butt.

As the days get shorter seasonal depression increases, since winter is here make it a point to go outside get a little sun every day. Regular exercise can raise endorphins. Give yourself somethings to look forward to doing, that always keeps my spirits up.

Actually, I don't think getting a degree is necessarily the best way any more of having a successful life. The value of a degree isn't what it used to be. You can start a business or go into a trade, there's a shortage of people in certain trades.

If you have the right major you can still find a job. Since you play poker I'm assuming you are at least competent in math. Degrees that are related in anyway to math have always been in demand. I think this trend will continue since so many people are bad/afraid of anything to do with math. I worked a min wage job that offered tuition reimbursement which helped me pay for part of college. Maybe get a different min-wage job if your job doesn't offer that benefit. Studying mathematics can also help improve your analytical skills and your game.

Realistically, even if things are bad now how long will that remain that way. Anyone that commits suicide will never have an opportunity to do things that they have dreamed of doing. As long as you are alive there's always hope. Suicide is a poor permanent solution to a address a temporary problem.

Well, I think this is obviously a joke & not really a funny one..

Someone suicidal, especially about poker, wouldn't post on a forum seeking advice.

Put bluntly, they would of already done it by now.

I think OP is attention seeking.

You can dream all you want, but if you aren't treating your poker career like a business (hey, what a catchy title) then you really *should* re-think your life's direction.

Suicide is not a solution by the way - despite what Ozzy says.

This seems to be less of a poker question and more of a life question and as others have pointed out it is a serious matter. If you truly have a thought of suicide seek counsel from a proper source.I had the unenviable task of cutting my long term neighbor down after he hung himself and telling his wife and son he was gone. There are no winners in the equation only sadness. The sight still haunts me from time to time.
