Just curious what everyone's opinion on bodog is in comparison to say, Full Tilt or Absolute Poker. It seems there are just as many freeroll donkey's anywhere I go but I actually manage to win more often on Bodog and Absolute. I took 2nd on Bodog netting me 75$ which was nice. I suppose it's because Full Tilt only pays out the top 27 places.

I can`t comment about freerolls, since I rarely play in them, but my general impression is that the standard of play at Bodog and Absolute is a little softer than at Full Tilt.

i have no 1st hand expierence but from what ive heard from freinds etc is that Bodog is very soft and easy to beat and has good beginner SNGs that pay 5 out of 10.

yeah the sngs can help low brs slowly and i mean slowly get big...i mean how easy is it to place in half the feild? pretty easy i did it with 2.50$ from a freeroll to 20$...the freerolls are better on bodog also....a 500$ and 1000$ everyday thats way better than any other american ones...i mean PS has the 2k$ freeroll but you have to beat the hubble tournament of 12k ppl and get in the top 99

I enjoy Bodog a lot. I took third in a 2k guarantee, but unfortunately played too many MTTs and not enough SNGs to keep my bankroll up and went broke. I was also foolish for not withdrawing any of the money.

However, every time I have gone broke on Bodog I have been able to money in the $500 (including the 30 points entry one) or the $1000 free rolls to get me back going again. Now with the CC free roll I have more options to get me going again.

I also have enough points to play in the 400 pt buy-in which pays out something like $100 tournament dollars for every so many entries. I have not been able to play it yet though because of my work schedule.

I play more on Bodog than any other site. The competition is very weak. I ran into a guy last night at the $25NL tables who gave away $150 dollars in less than 100 hands. Unfortunately, I was only able to get $65 of it.

Bodog is one of your better freeroll sites I have done well there myself and built up a respectable BR there.

Bodog is an extremely soft site along with SportsBook Poker. IMO it's because of all the sports betting going on. There are tons of inexperienced players available because they are sports bettors, not poker players. My guess is that they make some money gambling, don't know that poker isn't gambling, and they sit down to "try their luck". That is ripe for the picking.

Beginner Freerolls

I do find these quite easy to place in as well and have even worked my way up to the 16$ buyin ones. My weakness is I love playing cash tables but everytime I go to one it seems I get beat by some crazy rediculous luck bucket that pulled a card out of their a$$.

Just yesterday I put 20$ bucks on. I put 4.40 into a beginner SnG and the rest on a 25$ buyin cash table. So I'm watching this guy at my cash table, constantly raising to 2$ preflop obviously more than he could possibly have the hands to support at this rate. So I decide to make a play for his cash and call with K-7 suited, not the greatest hand but I seem to hit Kings alot on bodog.

Flop comes 3-9-K rainbow, he bets 3 into the 6$ pot and the other caller folds, I of course call. Turn comes another 9. He goes all in for his last 6 bucks and I know he's pulling my leg, I call. He has Q 10 clubs and I smile... for a second until a random Jack falls on the river. I tilted and went all in with my few remaining dollars against him again when he raises with my pocket 3's and he has J 9 and hits his Jack.

I manage to win the 4.40 and come back to 12$. Put another 4.40 into an SnG for safety measures and the rest on a 10$ buyin table. The VERY first hand I get A-4 diamonds, hit the nut flush, get busted by the guys set of 5's turning into quads. Then I proceed to blow it on the SnG out of pure tilt anger.

Like I said, I win the SnG's often, but everytime I hit the cash table now, I get blindsided. Which is really annoying considering I've taken 20$ all the way to 2k$ several times (.. and conveniently tried the BIG BOYS tables and lost it all).

If you were following proper BRM guidelines it wouldn't matter when they pulled the card out of their a$$. You'd just reload with chips and take it back.

i play totally at bodog, have tried the other sites but like bodog best..alot of good mtt with a good number of players, unlike stars mtt where there are thousands, bodogs 500 and under and alot under 200 players, like what was written earlier tied to the sports book so you get sports players gambling...be aware the biggest draw back is bad hands hitting and alot of unreal suckouts but you probably get that everywhere but i think a little more so at the bodog....there is a saying you got bodogged when 8/10 cracks you aces on the river or your kk gets beat by j5...cashing out is good, depositing is easy and i think the graphics are as good as anybodies.

I play at Bodog about 85% right now. The Beginners SnGs are money.

I was playing at Sportbook and PlayersOnly quite a bit but blew my rolls there. Sportsbook gave me 50 gold coins to come back and play with but I have only burned a few of them so far.

Lol. Your paranoia is showing, m8.

Bodog are licensed in canada to provide a service to foreign players only, and therefore cannot legally admit domestic Canadian players.

I've read complaints from this site that getting your money from bodog is a hassel. Has anybody had problem, I am thinking of becoming a member, but not if they make it next to impossible to get my winnings.

Well almost as soon as I posted this, I noticed another thread where the discussion is about bounced checks. Seems might odd to me. Why would checks be bounsing?

The freerolls are the best of any site. You can win over $100 dollars if you take first. Then the beginner sngs and all the fish. Also the mtts have smaller fields than the other sites. The only thing is the software freezes up too many times on me, kicks me off, doesn't update how many people are left in the tourney, etc. But with the exception of software flaws it is a great site.

I don't have any of those problems at Bodog - would it help for you to re-install it, perhaps :questionm

I've played on Bodog for years now and the software works fine for me. It's not my favorite software but it works fine.
