Alright today I was losing money all over the place. I got very impatient. I only had 26 dollars left so i decided to play a 23 dollar buy in Heads up. I ended up winning it in 2 min. This was stupid, because if i lose i would only have 3 dollars. Luckly I won. Was this gutsy or just stupid????

It's a good thing you didn't do something REALLY stupid, like losing a bunch in $25nl and trying to make up for it in $200nl.

NOBODY is that stupid.

I think it was on the stupid side especially since it was heads up. It was more of a gamble than anything in my opinion. At least you didn't lose haha.

It is kinda stupid but if you only have 26 dollars left why not take a chance? It would be easy to replace that amount if you ended up losing.

Stupid, sorry. that was plenty enough to have enough to give a realistic shot to the .01/.02 nl game. When you get that idea read an article on bankroll management. At least you came here to ask, the first step is admitting you have a problem:)

Both. It was gutsy of you to risk almost your entire bankroll on one HU match (granted it wasn't that much money and you could easily deposit again) but awfully stupid as well. You could have very easily lost that match and had to start over.

But anyways, you did win so you probably shouldn't try that again.

If you want to be playing $23 dollar heads up games, go deposit about $1000 or so, that should be enough for you to start playing them often and with proper BRM.

For the people with not enough patience like me to grind from the very bottom, this is the way to go. Otherwise you will just fail, over and over.

Its much more lucrative if you are a good player to start with a large bankroll to play the games that you feel comfortable playing and winning at.
