Do you guys think the stud games like 7 card and razz are softer than the holdem games? At what limits do yall think this is true?

Not in my experience at the low-stakes cash games (.25-.50 and below) - you'll get occasional fish who doesn't know the game and will donk off a stack or two and then leave but for every one of those there are four or five regs so the reg:fish ratio is pretty bad. There's also not much opportunity to table select because there are typically so few running.

Lots more fish and an easier time to be hand in hold 'em IMO, unless you're some kind of stud god who can beat the regs as well.

Stud is the first game I mastered in casinos before the whole Texas Holdem boom arrived. The real game begins in the $20/$40 or $15/$30/$45 stakes. You will see more of the old timers seated here & a lot less donks. It just goes to show that experienced players usually prevail in the mid to higher stakes game of 7 Card Stud. Hope the advice helps. Best of Luck in this game.

I play lots of stud games at the casino near alot usually on sunday mostly that when the old timers play, great game and alot of agressive play on the $6/12 tbls, but i do get more bang out of the buck than i do with hold'em that has lot of chasers and donks sucking out

Any game is going to be somewhat soft in micro limits. That's where either broke people play scared or people are learning the game and don't want to lose a small fortune doing so. You will run into donks who just don't care if they lose money though.

I like stud online. I tried to teach my homey game playas but they didnt like the fixed limit and having to look at all those cards. Same with Omaha 8. They did not want to try and understand. My local casino is just getting poker so nobody plays anything but NLHE.
