Ungar was a true genius of poker. No need to look far from the newspaper archives to find all three gimped as champion of the Main Event of the World Series, and his perfect mastery of any game that carry a bet involved. He was a genius , but ended up being a genius unfinished .

Stu Ungar 's life was on track to what it was at birth. His father, Isidore Ungar, work was to take bets on the mafia and since the small Stu had eight years and came into contact with that world. With 10 , in fact, it was he who bet at the racetrack .

Between 10 and 45 years ( age when he died ) tested all kinds of games and all kinds of opponents . Bet after bet and shot because I have .

This quote below is read Stu itself .
"Whoever said money burning in your pocket was talking about me . Some tell me pathologic gambler . For me it comes down to that action is more important than money. In Lake Tahoe , played tennis matches against Chinese champions for $ 5,000 . In Italy I learned a game called Ziganet , where stronger bet than any other game. In a racecourse betting met a lifter let me bet on a horse to see if he went last . I'm addicted to the action. I bet even in a race of ****roaches " . Are there any higher ?

Quotes from other players into the player looking weak and Asian features you can find them kicks. Come up with some of them to know a little more.

" I've never seen anyone improve so much . From one day to another saw as improved " . Doyle Brunson.

" He understood how to make pots that no one else would dare not try . Through elimination , betting patterns and how people play , put you on a hand . If you put in the second or third pair , Stuey you out of hand. But Stuey was also very good knowing how much to bet , the risk had to for you to pull on your hand. " Billy Baxter.

" I had no fear of risking their chips to exploit weakness. It's harder than it looks , or you have it or not have it in you . And that's what made him great. " Puggy Pearson .

" Stu 's problem is that he never understood the purpose of the game. The purpose of being a professional is to grow your bank , improve your life and that of your family. " Mike Sexton.

That was Stu Ungar, probably one of the most amazing players has given the history of poker . But at 45 killed. He was found in the Oasis Motel in Las Vegas and the investigation determined that his body had cocaine , methadone and Percodan .

A genius , unfinished

Although Ungar's cocaine use was almost as legendary as his gambling, and most likely was the #1 cause for his demise, surprisingly he only had trace amounts in his system when he died.

Unfortunately. Drugs kill, we know not from today. It is a pity that such good people get into the bad habit.

Stu Ungar was the greatest poker player to ever live IMO.

It's sad that he died. I think he could have accomplished more in the poker world.
