I am currently in what you would call a downswing at the .25/.50 limit tables, but what's weird is the amount of $. We have heard of downswings that were 100bb, 200bb and more, but mine has gone on for 11 days, slightly over 2000 hands for a loss of.....................$5 A 10bb downswing. Has anyone had this kind of a swing for so little money lost?
If I have to be running bad, I guess this is the way to run bad, if it has to be anyway.

At least your only down a little. I have lost $30 bucks in the last few days at the 5c/10c tables. 300BB!! The first $10 was cause I was playing like an idiot but then I tightened up but am taking some killer beats. Lost $10 on two hands last night, had KK then AA and some maniac called me all the way to the end where he hit the river for a flush or something. My full house lost to a better fullhouse today and some maniac kept calling me till he hit trips on the river when I flopped 2 pair.

Amazingly I am taking it in stride. I felt stupid when I lost the first ten cause it was my own fault but now I am playing smart but getting burned by crazy players so I know it will turn around soon.

Of note is that my horrible swing started right after I joined this forum and posted how I had turned my initial $25 into $100 and now I am down to $70.;)

Hopefully the upswing has started for me, just won $9 in a matter of 5 minutes at PS! Hope it keeps going up for a while.

$5 from a 2000 hand downturn isn't bad... not bad at all at $0.25/$0.50. I've lost $5 in an hour at those stakes when I'm waiting for a decent hand to hold up, and the table then empties in the space of 2-3 hands, leaving me no way to keep playing to hit that hand... still, I'm hoping that I'm in an upswing at the moment - my last couple of sessions were profitable, and I made a profit at the last 4 home games I played in.
Hopefully I'm on an upswing at the moment, too - I had a downswing playing the Sit-n-Go's at Party and used up my bankroll on there, so I'm hoping to get the other bankrolls up to more than replace that, and it's going well so far. I agree that it's much easier to take a losing session when you KNOW that you haven't been on tilt - you feel like a complete idiot when you've seen red and started chasing (haven't done that in a while).
