Ok my friend has been sponsored me in cash games, so when i win i have to give him the buy in plus 50% of the winnings and when i loose i have to give him 50% of the buy in he gave me. ex. he gave me 100 if i make 500 total ( 400+100 ) i have to give him 200 ( the 50% )plus the 100 he gave me and when i loose i have to give him 50 back. I feel that something its not right. Please anybody help me on this? Thank u.

I probably wouldn't take that action.

First of all, you might as well just say that he's buying half of your action(ie. you are paying $50, he's paying $50, because if you lose....that's what you're paying, it doesn't matter if it's going to the casino/tourney or your buddy). Then on top of that you're giving him his initial money plus half of the winnings... The majority of the time for a beginning player(which I'm guessing you are since you're asking this question) you will not come out ahead here in the long run. If you're just wanting to play for shits and giggles, then this isn't terrible because you get off at half the buy-in, but don't go into it thinking you aren't paying anything, whether you win or lose, you're paying at least half the buy-in

Not sure where the incentive is?

The idea of being sponsored/staked is that the staker, pays your stakes win/lose.

If you lose, you have to give him 50% back but when you win (if you win) you have to give him the full buy-in + 50%?

I woulden't bother with this, you would be much better of saving your own money or grinding small stakes and building a roll.

You want a staker who is willing to take 100% of stake and if you lose, he loses it, not ask you for 50%. If you can afford to give him 50% of the buy-in back when you lose then why not just move down a a level and then you can fully support yourself 100% and have 100% of the winnings too?

this deal makes no sense. there are two options you could use really:

1. he gives you a bankroll, say $500. when you want to finish the deal, you give him the $500 back and split any profits 50/50 (or any other split). if you are losing at the end, it's his lose.

2. he gives you 50% of the buyin each time, and receives 50% of everything you leave the table with.

Better just give u 40% and the backer keep 60%. But I wouldn't accept stakes from friends
