Specialize or multi task?

Hey CCrs! What are your alls thoughts on whether a poker player should specialize or try to become proficient in several things? ( MTTs only, just hold em, just plo, etc) Ty!

I tend to know several things.

Advantage is you can join many variants as you want, while those who specializes have limited selection.

You can also see the differences among variants.

perfect one and then move onto the next, i love poker so i try to learn as much as possible about every variation. I play cash for profit but MTT's are my one true love

It's nice but it's better to be a good specialist in one game and try to get the cash in on this.

I think a poker player should first, specialize in something. And then, from their, expand their knowledge/skills. For instance, learn hold em. Then, master sit n go's. Then MTT's, etc.

You play what u want and what u enjoy the most. Most players play holdem, other play only omaha. It`s not cuz they are forced to do it. If they dont like it they wont do it. It`s not called getting specialized, it`s called enjoying. Nothing stops you to play many games, like HORSE or 8-game, 10-game. If you enjoy every kind of poker you play it the most. If you dont you play the kind suits you the most. Skills come with practice. It is all about it.

Try to master one game at time.Any of them is profitable,just try to find one that suit you the most.To me it got to be MTTs.

First one must specialize in what more it plays, then it is nice to study on other modalities to be able to combine the professional part with some playtime
