I did not know that if I was late for the tourney that I would not be able to play.
I worked last night and had to sleep a little, woke up to go pick up my wife at 1:45 and was 15 min late logging in for the tourney, and when I did log in I found out that I was already out.
Sorry CC

Absolute has software in that if you are not there at the start of the tourney you are automatically removed after 10 minutes. It's there to take care of sitouts.

Why does it do that? It makes no sense. Let the sitouts pay their blinds, and move along.

Yeah, and I'm torn about my feeling on this. I'm okay with them doing it on freerolls, but they have no right to do this on buy-in tourneys. When you buy your seat, you are given chips to play and are entitled to play poker anyway you wish. If your strategy is to jsut sit there being blinded off and doing nothing, that is your right. You paid for the chips. But freerolls you aren't buying chips, so let them kick the sit outs out (Sorry Shinedown and OneMoreBust, but now you know for the future).

They only do it for freerolls. With a buyin you're in no matter what. And actually it's not that bad. How many of us have played at a table were we had 6-7 sitouts. It sucks. It slows your play and you don't have as good of a chance of increasing your chip count.

Speaking of sit-outs, there was this one freeroll I was in, I had been moved to a table where all but me had been sitting out, had been there for 20 min to 1/2 hr just collecting the blinds, made about 7k in chips, so sit-outs are not that bad.......:)

Was there a speed limit? Id imagine if you raised as fast as you could you could tear through all of their money fast, but then a new person would join your table :(
