Ok, this isnt in the bad beat board cause its not a rant. i just really want help figuring out the odds of this happening.

- Being dealt KK 5 times in 3000 hands, and being up against AA everytime (and losing everytime)

- and then QQ being up agasinst KK twice in 100 hands (and losing both)-
the queens could have been avoided, shouldnt of pushed, but was shorstacked so...meh didnt cost me too much.

Anyone who's good with odds wanna help me figure this out, crazy stuff. bankroll took a 1k swing for the worse yesterday cause of those hands:eek:, got it back today, but still...

MY OPINION IS JUST THE FACT ITS THE CARDS!!! NO ODDS TO REALLY CALCULATE UNTIL YOU SEE THE COMMUNITY CARDS!! BUT IN SITUATIONS LIKE THAT!, SOME SITUATIONS BE SHORT STACKED THERES NOT MUCH TO DO!!!! KEEP PLAYING THE CARDS YOU HAVE!! THAT ABOUT THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF FOR YA!! BUT THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! ,,, I'VE BEEN WRONG BEFORE!!! GOOD LUCK AS ALWAYS!! PLAY WITH PATIENCE AND ACCEPTANCE!!!

You cant just ask for definite odds because the answer for the individual hand will vary greatly depending on several factors- table postion and the play style of the other players thus far must be taken into consideration

. If you are asking what the odds are you will catch a pair in any given hand it is roughly 5%. Once you make a pair there is a 50% chance that someone else at that table has also made a pair. So if you make a pair there is a 50% chance that someone else made a pair, and if you have QQ chances are (however slim) that they might have pocket KK or AA. You will have to take into consideration how that person has been playing. Are they tight and only play monster hands, or are they looser and play lower pockets?

The general rule as I read it is you will get pocket pairs on average once every 16 hands. Thats 187 pocket pairs in 3000 hands. You are saying you lost 7 hands - so what happened with the other 180 hands?
