$125 + $10 optional
$2,500 Guarantee
$4,000 OR $6,000 in chips
with optional
20 min blinds

1. Is the buy in? I don't get the "$10 optional" though.

2. Means that it is guaranteed to pay $2,500 in prizes

3. Does this mean they decide the day of the tournament? Why?

Lines 4 and 5, I am assuming optional and 20 minute blinds go together but I really do not understand, does that mean there may or may not be blinds?(Which would make no sense) Or the blinds may be 10 minutes instead?

i'm guessing lines 1, 3 and 4 go together - so you get 4k chips unless you pay the optional $10 extra in which case you get 6k chips (which is really dumb seeing as you'd have to be an idiot to not just pay the extra $10, but whatever i guess)

yeah what Dorkus said....

1) Many casinos offer a ridiculous amount of chips v the starting stack for an additional $5 $10 or $20, usually as a 'straight to dealer toke pool'. In this case, you get $6K in chips v $4K if you kick in the extra $10 bucks.

2) The tournament is a $2500 guaranteed prize pool

3) 20 Minute Blinds

Best of luck to you

WEC is correct. It is a pretty standard practice in smaller tourneys at local casinos. It assures the dealers are further compensated. Like Dorkus said...you'd have to be severely lacking in reasoning skills not to take the option.

The last couple of places I played that had this didn't even ask if I wanted the option, just assumed I did and charged me accordingly.

My understanding is like this

if you pay 125, you start with game of 4K chips.
if you pay 135, you start game with 6K chips.

and the price pool for that tourney is at least 2.5K USD
the blinds level is 20 minutes.

eg game with 10/20 blinds, 20 minutes later, to next level like 15/30 or whatever.
