It's been a while and I'm starting to think that we might not get it back.

What do you guys think?

I think we will eventually. I really believe there is some shady stuff going on with it though. Why else would pokerstars have already released their money weeks ago when they are in the same situation?

I think is going to take a long time to receive the funds of FT, I mean even for us non-US players are taking more than 15 days to receive the money, imagine to the US players.

The situation is quite different. Pokerstars kept the players money separate from their funds, Full Tilt did not. I think that has created some extra red tape.

So my question is...I never made a deposit on to Full Tilt but I built a 50 dollar roll on there from nothing, will I be able to get the money in my account? That is if and when Full Tilt releases funds to US players...I dont think that I will

It would probably depend on what their policy was. Some sites require a minimum deposit before you withdraw, others do not. You could check out their rules and faq on withdrawing funds. As to if we will ever get our money, I am not sure, but I am thinking yes, it will just take time.

I voted no...I'm not counting on ever seeing my money I've worked so long & hard for. I'm usually optimistic about such things, but as time goes by, I see this glass as half empty. It really saddens me because Fulltilt was my favorite place to play.:(

^^ this. I do have a slim hope buried somewhere down inside that they are just trying to hold out long enough to see if something changes before they let all their client-el vanish with the money...

I never deposited on FT and made a w/d last year to pay for a trip to Las Vegas. It was a pretty painless process to provide identification, then wait a short while for a check to arrive.

I think that if FTP is planning on staying in business (outside the U.S.) they will have to get us our money.
Do you really think the rest of the world's online players would trust FTP if they didn't?

It IS going to take a LONG time (their accounting department is really F**ked up)

If you haven't done so already, I would recommend taking a screenshot of your cashier page

scottie say you owe your friend $100 and have $200. I then go and steal $190 from you. I tell your friend "he can give you your money back if he wants". The money's not there. It's frozen. FTP does not have the money to pay us at this time. Whether we get paid any time soon is anyone's guess and it is definitely a possibility we never get paid at all. But make no mistake it is the fault of the DoJ primarily that you don't have your money. They decided it was more important to them to attempt to collect fines than to refund money back to customers. FTP made some mistakes in their business that has made it worse, but the DoJ seized more money than they owe American players.

I have to agree with Leo here. At this point, who knows? I'm certainly not counting on getting funds from them anytime soon.

IMO taking a screenshot is excellent advice--did so the minute I read this post and think everyone should as well. Thanks!

PS. I didn't vote--my jury's still out. :)

I suspect that a large number of non-us players are only vaguely aware of Black Friday. The vast majority of fish don't hang out on forums and if they aren't having problems than they certainly don't care or notice that Americans are.

I voted no in the poll and if you do get your money I think it will be years. Obviously I hope I'm wrong.

People kept playing on UB after the cheating scandal - I think you might be overestimating how much the rest of the world cares about whether American players get paid or not. Reality is deposits and withdrawls seem to be working fine for the rest of the world.

Much of the talk at the moment is based around the theory that US players haven't been paid yet because the site wants to stay in business and with the current management team to boot. Their problem is finding the funds to pay US players while also maintaining the financial reserves necessary to keep their gaming licence and therefore continue operating for the rest of the world.

FWIW my personal view is you'll get paid but it'll take months, not weeks.

You think they don't notice that the $23,000KO guar. is now called the $5Kguar.? Or that the tourney schedules/lobbies have completely changed? Or that in the past they'd typically see 4-6 players on their tables were from US & now none are? Or that 27plyr & 45plyr sng's used to fill up in a couple of mins. & now nowhere near this? That micro RUSH tables used to be really loose & now there's way less players & they're all NITTED up. That MidnightMadness used to have well over 2,000 entrants & now it has ~700 even though it's a MET (& actually has Overlay?... when has MidMadnessMTT ever had overlay?) That the $18Kguar. at 01:00 ($26mtt) is now the $5,500guar. Or that the DailyDonker with it's $10,000guar. is now a $5,000guar. & is also a MET (that actually has Overlay).

I'm pretty sure they all notice.

Even if that's true, the real question is this: do they care?
(non US realizing)
Well I decided to cash out my remaining BR on FT last friday (leaving 30$ there to donk around and play CC buy-ins) and it took FT 6 days to get it into my banking account (which is ok).

All the people who play online poker I know personally around here know what has happened and are thinking about how that impacts them

- and they're not all forum members.

Edit: I voted yes (at some time in the future)

ABC News is reporting that the Justice Department is reporting that they have reached an agreement for the sites to return the US players money to them.

There has been no mention of Absolute or UltimateBet other than for the Justice Department to say that they were welcome to come to the same agreement.

Ancient history. Just because the DoJ will let them give players their money back doesn't mean that the Full Tilt or UB have the money to give.

Well, you could be right, but having worked with the general public for years, I think that you are over stating their awareness level a bit. I'm sure many/most have some vague notion that the Yanks aren't around but, again, I doubt its given much thought and I doubt many care. Casual players aren't going to pay attention to withdrawal issues since mostly they never withdraw. That games have nitted up or not is the last thing a casual player/fish would notice.

FWIW I hope I'm wrong, I just have very little faith in the general public's ability to see beyond the end of their nose. However, I live in the US, land of Jerry Springer, religious nut jobs, and the Tea Party, hopefully they are smarter on the other side of the pond. :)

I voted no but I should've voted Yes. Because I know we will get our money back, after 100 years. :)
