So is AP really rigged?

I started playing AP again after a long time on stars and it is beyond unbelievable how many players blame the site for every bad beat and suck out. So much so that I have started to entertain the idea.

I really do see an unusual amount of boards with five of the same suit and river suck outs. I mean I still believe that those that say that have no skill whatsoever and shift the blame to the site, but is it possible at all?

ummm, i do not think absolute poker is rigged, its just like all the other poker sites
all that happened was someone high up, with lots of power abused his perks and cheated the system

As was pointed out at the time, it was never a matter of the site itself or its software being "rigged" - rather, it was a collection of players exploiting a security hole in the site's software.

This would not explain an abnormally high incidence of flush boards or river suckouts, assuming such things were actually abnormally high in the first place.

This entire cheating stems from the highest people, who are in charge of the company and know full well cheating is going on because they are the ones doing it. We don't know how long they've been scamming people, or for how much, (reportedly in the millions) but we can only be glad that we caught at least one of their superaccounts in action. Don't ever doubt anything from this point on.

After Absolute Poker tried to cover Potripper to save themselves, I'm not really going anywhere near that. I wouldn't be worried about those bad beats, that happens everywhere, but super accounts are definitely possible.

its the level they are playing at

all these people that complain are people that play at low levels. they play a 1 dollar or 5 dollar tourney and get there aces cracked or their best hand nailed on the turn or river. The reason is because you get a lot less disciplined players in a lot more hands so people will suck out more. Tell me how often you see a guy call a raise in a big buy in game just because his cards are suited. you won't as often as you do in the 1 dollar game. All you complainers can do one of two things, either A get a bigger bankroll with a real job and then try your hand at that, or quit playing poker. But in order to do the first one you might want to learn to play first. Because obviously you don't know how if you complain this much.

There you go again. There's no room for reason in here.

As was pointed out at the time, it was never a matter of the site itself or its software being "rigged" - rather, it was a collection of players exploiting a security hole in the site's software.

Lord...this is rich indeed.

I think they're aliens and this is their way of taking us over.
