$2 SnG on Prima

5 left, top 3 pay.

I have medium stack. Blinds are approximately 1/9 of my stack. I have JJ in SB. Blind steals have been occurring quite often, at least 1/3 of the time preflop. BB, who was also a medium stack and had roughly the same number of chips as me, and who had played like a maniac all game, raises minimum. All fold to me.

Do you:

A) Call, but not getting any more information about opponent's hand, and thus still not be comfortable with undercards on flop. The raise was approximately 1/8 of my stack, which would make it neutralEV from the flopping a set perspective.

B) Reraise minimum, but still not getting that much information as I'm up against a Maniac, and I might still be up against at best overcards even if he reraises me again or calls. And I would be in 4th position out of 5 if I had to fold to a reraise and lose about a third of my stack, which makes reraising the minimum not seem so good.

C) Fold

D) Push

A) you cannot have JJ in the SB because you state the BB raised the min. which means you just called with JJ in the SB??

B) if you did just call you deserve whatever fate defell you

now assuming you meant he was the button:

I re-raise him, double his raise and if he shoves you call.

Most of the time he is min raising with pp or A-rag and your JJ will be higher than his kicker so call you are trying to avoid are three Aces.

If you win the hand you are in great shape to take it down. If not you can still come back.

C) Fold

D) Push
A). Calling is weak, so that is not a choice IMO as you are up against a maniac who you would have dominated most of the the time with JJ.
B). Min-reraising is just giving villian pot odds to call so you can also forget that.
C). Folding should not even be on your list of options considering villian is a maniac.
D). Pushing is your only option here as min-reraising would just about commit you to the pot and pushing would also negate your positional disadvantage while giving villian the harder decision of calling or folding assuming he's not getting the odds to call your push.
