Smoking and poker

smoking and playing poker are two difficult times to stop, cigarettes are bad for health and poker as zes is bad for your pocket.

I don t smoke for 11 years and it s one of the greatest steps in my life.

I have never smoked in my life. Honestly, I am very glad, because it is a very bad habit.

Do what you want when playing online but PLEASE don't smoke during a live game. It's extremely inconsiderate to those who are non-smokers (whether ex-smokers or never-smokers).

Congrats on quitting - that's a major accomplishment! More money for poker!

I just cant take smoke.

All the casino's here are smoke free. I don't think I'd ever stay long at a live game if ppl were smoking at the table.

I like to smoke when I'm playing online but I like that card rooms around here are smoke free. If I win a big hand or feel like I'm tilting some I'll walk out for a minute take a few puffs and come back. It's too easy to chainsmoke while playing.

I prefer the non-smoking environment and never smoked personally. I don't have a problem with people smoking at the table if it's allowed.

Its terrible. I respect who enjoy it, but really disturbs me!

I do the same honeybuns...smoke while playing online and if at table,i go outside.

i dont care for cigarettes but I think we should be able to smoke weed while playing.

I've smoked for more than 5 years. When i stress i smoke, when I'm in pain i smoke.
SO in poker i stress a lot from bad beats, something I'm not proud of.
So i smoke while a play poker (not at the table), it calms me down, nothing like breathing in whats killing me, to sooth my nerves.....if you get what i mean, i think only smokers can relate lol
But even though i smoke, i don't like smoking indoors......i just sit out and go for a smoke and make it back to my seat and hope i didn't miss more than 5 hands.

I mean I think the latter but just because I don't smoke and really think people shouldn't in general if they care about their health. I'm definitely for getting people the most comfortable they can be at the poker tables though

I smoke cigarettes while I play, and I smoke about 15-16 cigarettes in 3 hours

Well, I have never smoked so I really like the no smoking trend at the poker tables.

I've stopped smoking for more than 5 years. When I smoked, I smoked in only 5 minutes of breaks. I think we can smoke while playing, I just did not smoke for hygiene reasons, but I do not condemn smokers.

I see no reason why smoking should or would need to be allowed at the tables. I keep my home games smoke free and prefer to play in smoke free games.

Hi it is good for you and people around you...

I like to smoke when I play poker.

Always say smokem if you gotem. I don't smoke at all and don't drink when I play. Sure don't mind if other people do though.

Back before smoking was banned at tables, yeah, it was easy to chain smoke. I quit recently too and now that I don't -- yeah -- I'm glad it's been "banned". Except at the casinos here in Louisiana, all you have to do is walk about 10 feet over to the border between poker & slots to smoke.
