do not confuse slow rolling with slow playing
slow rolling - this is done in a live card room only, not online. it is when the action goes to a showdown, one player turns his cards and may have a moderate hand - the other waits for a period of time, all the while knowing they have the other player beat, before they turn their hand over, letting the other person think they may have won and then pull the rug out from under them. this is a terrible thing to do, and as a poker room manager I have had to stop fights because of it. I think it is a weak and very bush-league thing to do
slow-play = playing a strong hand as though it is very weak, and then making a big bet or an AI call on the river. many think you need a very strong hand to do this, I do not, especially in cash games. I will slow play top and second pair in a weaker cash game.
hope this helps
