It drives me crazy when players take all there allowed time to either bet or fold. The blinds only get higher. so why slow play every hand? I can see maybe slow playing a little if it is close to final table and you are down in chips.but why every hand.

its not all bad, if someone is taking all the time to make a decision it means overall during the tourny you will be on a blind less times, so it may save you a few chips if you are on the bubble with 3k with a 4k bb, and in the next hand your all in on the bb, but someone goes out during that hand so you cash. Then you will be grateful for the guy taking his time

hmm well if you hate slow players online, i can only imagine what you feel when you play live(if you do). Poker is about patience, ive done well with that offline, now im looking to do it well online and see what happens.

Live is much different than online. Live you have a casino life to watch. Online you're looking at your screen... fun.

More often than not that slow player is multi-tabling. I consider it rude, but???

If you want a good paced game that moves right along try the 6 max ultra turbo sng at UB. THey got 50 cent games there.

I was in a freeroll and was really pissed at one player. There was about 20 people left until the money is there.

He waits the entire time every single hand (as in, to where it says he is sitting out and autofolds him) then just preses "I am back" and does this EVERY hand.

The time limit is part of the online game, don't let it affect you if players take the whole time allotted to them because it's there for a reason and they have a right to. Definitely don't make a comment in a chat about it. If you're a beginner and it pisses you off or you can't stand it, then I would highly suggest listening to music, not playing tired or doing something to help you gain a tolerance and stay focused so that you will not do stupid things. You won't make it very far in poker if you don't have patience.

I don't play fast, I auto fold preflop if I know I ain't going to play. But I always take 5-10 seconds before making a descion to call, raise or fold(to a raise, if I have something), stops me making wrong descions.

Live, I have taking 2-3 minutes at times to make a descion.

But, don't you think that playing music will hinder your ablity to get a read on your opponets,
It was a suggestion for helping you from going crazy or getting pissed off when someone is taking the max amount of time. It might slightly hinder from getting reads, but IMO it's a better option than tilting and throwing your head against a wall.

Multi tabling is a factor.

I need to take more time making decisions, but I use autofold if I already know my decision. No point wasting my life and everyone elses.

What amuses me is people who take a long time to call or raise my bets, trying to look like they've agonized over the decision. :D

I am one of those slow players. I am not fond of the speed of the online game but I accept it for what it is. I have 2 speeds. slow and slower.

The one sure fire way to get the slower speed is to make it known that you are annoyed by slow play. As far as im concerned it is good poker to do whatever you can to get inside the other guys head.
