I'm 16 and turning 17 in August and I just can't wait to play poker online, (once I'm 18 that is). I play with friends all the time and always end up winning, I've read many a poker book and watched many video's about the game.

My question is, I don't know what type of poker I should play, and by type I mean Sit n Go's, MTT's or Ring. Is there anyway for me to decide? Also how much should I deposit I'm probably going to use a mild bankroll management, (200 bi for MTT etc). Also what room should I play at, I'm thinking PS but thats just me.

Into chess a fair bit at the moment but anyway thanks for reading and looking forward to reading your comments.

Sit-and-Go´s are the best format for beginners. There is an relatively easy strategy, and these not so expensive and complex like cash games and also a good experience for mtt´s later. Many well known online pro´s started with the SNG´s. They are not so time consuming like the big tourneys and many poker rooms have very cheap sng´s for people like you. Stars is the best choice. Good luck !

When you play sng's you want roughly 50BI. So if you start at say, 50c 45 mans, you want at least $50.00. Cash you want 20BI, mtt's you want at least $100.00.

Keep reading and applying strat and you'll start winning in no time. Don't worry if you're losing the for a while, you'll start winning as you get better.

Real poker is nothing like the home games you have with your friends, especially if it isn't for real money.

Gl at the tables.

PS: when you go to uni, don't blow your student loan for the three months playing $2/$4 online/at your local casino.
