Guys, I am curious what your experience is at various sites with low buy-in or freeroll tourrnaments. In particular, which site has the worst donkaments?

While I love donks in cash games, donk-infested tournaments have a high variance and are very boring for me(how exciting is it to flip coins?).

From the sites I have played, I vote for full tilt poker.

What is your opinion?

Party by far. They have some geniuses working in the advertising department.

The majority of 'donks' I run into there don't even seem to know the rules of poker. Literally.

DOn`t know Party so can`t comment there. But from what I know Fulltilt and Ultimate Bet are miles ahead of everyone else in the donkament stakes.

lol...donkaments. God I love that line.

I haven't played on the really huge sites like party and stars before so I can't comment on those ones, but I'll take everyone's words on it. My guess is that every site will have their share of donks. It's just that the larger ones will have even more just because of their volume. I've only played at PokerRoom and UB most recently and they both have their share of ridonkulous chasers.

I find that I can capitalize on the ones on PokerRoom, if there's only a couple of them in a full-ring game table and am fully aware of their tendencies. They may get me once in a while, but I've noticed that the odds catching up with them, especially if they stick around thinking that they can make more money off of me! UB, I haven't done as well with them - they just seem to catch miracle cards when the pot is ginormous - as opposed to a small-medium sized pot.

Just can't stand it if I'm at a table full of them and there's a few of them in any given hand. I'll be pressing the bet/raise button with one hand and crossing my fingers with the other one!

DP, I think there are a couple of donk-related issues. One is the concept of schooling, and the other is the tournament effect.

I intend to start a thread on schooling in NL holdem, but roughly, what it means in limit holdem, is that if many players call you, their collective bad plays combine together to give them better odds, thus reducing the difference between very good players and very bad players.

In NL cash games the same thing can happen if you have too many donks at your table.

In donkaments, of course, the variance is much higher since many of your skills are irrelevant.

Absolutely FTp . but i do not think it is a bad thing for skilled player . once you adjust to their way of playing . it is easy to milk them

I've never played on full tilt so can't comment on there, but for me it would have to be partypoker, they take the "donkment awards" byfar.
