Shuffling chips.

Hi All,

a light hearted post here, whats you record for shuffling chips, im currently at 10 chips and depending on the surface i used, its not always pretty...ive searched you tube for tips to improve this..but im still a novice after 11 years lol.

10 chips total ot 10 on each side? I can do 14 on each side but not consistently or very quickly

10 each side and im getting quicker but to be honest it looks better with 5 each side..well done on 14..thats a cannon!

I can do 8 on each side smoothly. If I tried to do more than that it wouldn't be pretty.

Haha... It doesn't matter how many chips you can do man. I do 6,8, 10 or 12...at least for me. It matter the fact that it helpes me a lot to relax and play cool.. Thats what i've noticed. Its like... Im different person. :angel:

I can get 14. I can do 16 but the struggle is noticeable with that many.

Alot of this will depend on just how big your hands are. I can do about 13 on each side pretty consistently but that is after playing with stacks for about 10 years now. I could do more but it becomes hard for me to hold much more than that.

Hmm. I have always liked the sound of the chips. I don't have a bankroll for live yet, but maybe I will start having a stack of chips by the computer. I had never really thought about how many chips people shuffle.

I have always watched players shuffle their chips with total awe. I am 5'1", and my hands are small for my height (my sister used to refer to my fingers as Jimmy Dean sausages). I am not totally uncoordinated, but I just can't get the hang of it...I just bounce my card protector.

When I grow my finger nails out; I can do more chips and do it easier. Good luck !

I am a smoker and I find it to be a form of therapy for my hands. But I still suck at it. Sometimes I can shuffle flawless other times I jack the stack and feel like a knucklehead...LOL

+1 Me too and usually I only have 3 or 4 on each side. I can do knuckle rolls with chips well though, so at least I don't look like a complete beginner.

I normally shuffle 5 or 6 on each side of reds and I find it relaxing and kinda comforting. I also do front-to-back a holding a stack of 4 or 5 chips which is kind of my trademarked thing now.

I've played live poker over 5 years and still can't sufflethe chips. My fingers just can't handle it

Hello, in my case something strange happened to me, since my most skilled hand for everything is the right one, at the time no matter how much I practiced I did not succeed, then I started practicing at my house playing online, but with the left hand, given that with the right I manage the mouse and ualaaa I achieved it, now I get perfect, but with the incredible less skilled hand for haha, and I usually do it with 5 on each side, up to 7 on each side I feel great! good luck

When I attended my first large-field tournament, the sound coming from all the riffling chips was unreal. When I returned home I looked up a vid. online to show me how to do it.
I gave up the first day. I just didn't see the need for it. Plus I sucked at it.

I can do 2, 1 on each side, like you I have never felt the need, I look at trying to improve my game or whats going on on the tables, instead of trying to look like a knob.

I honestly think that when people are doing it, they aren't paying attention to the game but rather look like a knob, one thing I did notice is that most that I have seen riffling chips play atrociously, too much time spent trying to look like a knob instead of learning the game.

I wish my local casino was closer than what it is, I'd be there a lot looking for those that riffle chips. :top:

I can do 8 chips in each hand but not really a fan of shuffling chips, most players concentrate with this but I like just turning the chips over each other I feel more comfortable. You can try increasing one chip Everytime you feel you are ready like I can do 7 chips each hand then add another chip in one hand after that in the other one, that's how I learned.
