Last night I was playing .50/1.00 blinds, and had bought in 40 dollars. The player to my left is notorious for raising and splashing pots. On the button I am dealt A,A, and he raises me 4 dollars, and I re-raise to 10, he just calls. On the flop comes, J,A,K, all different suits. He checks and I bet another 10, he calls. He then checks dark and a 4 comes off, and I say all in. At that point I have him covered in money, and i had about 35 left with 40 dollars in the pot already. He calls me with K,10 of hearts and hits a Queen on the river. I don't see how I could've played this hand differently, I thought I played it very well to get out the draw and don't see his reasoning what so ever for calling. He said after he put me on A,Q at best, and still he is dominated? Any suggestions appreciated.

First and most important. Do not buy into $.5/1 games for less than $100! And that $100 should be about 5% of your bankroll ($2,000 bankroll)

I can't see any wrong play on your part I might have played it the same way you just got unlucky on the river. It's a bad beat and that happens in poker you'll win the next one.
