Not sure if this is legal or if it abides by sites' (PS specifically) terms and conditions or whatever, but I thought it would be great for some players to exchange PT databases.

I personally am dipping back into nl rings and could use some HHs from 25-50nl, and have tons of STT histories and summaries from $6.50s to $16s.

If I can ever get my money onto PS and am able to make enough to play it (I feel a big cash coming soon. Last night was a cooler, haha). I have an idea how to get it on there, but it'll take a while to orchestrate, me thinks.

This is illegal on pokerstars, I'll look for the reference but it was the same place where it said poker-edge was banned. That said, there's no way for them to find out.

Dunno whether it's actually allowed on most sites (as zac said it's impossible to police anyway), but it strikes me as pretty unethical tbh.

Why?

Don't get how sharing a imported hands is unethical? :(

Gonna see what PT forum says. I don't doubt it's illegal since I've just about never seen any threads in any forums about this. Some sites sell the use of their databases though...sharkscope, etc

Here's the pokerstars details: Prohibited Online Poker Software Programs
  • Why is this an issue?
  • Consider this: you are playing at a six-person table and the other five players at that table are using a shared database program. After each hand, they are able to see what cards every other player (except you) had. Do you want to play at that table?
Note that sharkscope [pending] is on the list of illegal software, so they'd like to ban that as well, as it shares results.
  • In general, what kind of programs are acceptable?
    1. Programs (or charts) that simply tell you odds, starting hand recommendations, etc.
    2. Programs that profile your opponents, but make use of only information which you have accumulated by your own play.
