Jim McManus is writing a series on Bill Simmons's site Grantland. The first article is very well done. This site is tied to ESPN and gets tons of views.

Please share this article and also comment on it on the sites facebook page (link at bottom of article) and let them know we appreciate the coverage and will support more articles.

It's a facebook thing; you wouldn't understand. ;)

But yeah, I'm not really sure why sharing this would be worthwhile? It's horrendously long and drawn out...although I suppose for those that need the skinny on all things UIGEA it would be a good read.

What is good about this article is that it is appearing in Grantland which is attached to ESPN. Its run by Bill Simmons who has a huge following. The more people seeing a positive poker article the better IMO.

No big dieal. I'll try to find better material next time I guess.

No, that's a good reason. :) You're right; there is a lot of (usually biased or just incorrect) information out there. So yeah, it's a good idea to get good solid info out to the masses.

I liked the article very much (Positively 5th Street was the first "poker" book I ever read). My question was directed at f4w.

Shared. Pretty good summary. Could be longer.

I had forgotten that this whole thing was brought to a head because Kyl threatened to block appointments to the Treasury unless the UIGEA was enforced, so the Obama administration caved.

How I hate this how this government now (doesn't) works.
