They changed their policy, now you have to sell at least 1 million at a time. That makes it a bit harder.

In all honesty, they want a million dollars worth of chips on some of these websites to even be given money. You might aswell transform your own money into millions lol. I thought selling play money chips might be a good idea, but it is just as hard surely to win all those chips in the first place. Is it worth taking ages building up your play money chips to 100,000 to earn a dollar?

I've sold a couple of million. It's a lot of work, but zero risk involved with play chips. Of course I usually lost all the real money that I've gained doing it. So I did waste a lot of time, but I guess I got some good poker experience.

I guess it's people who want to play at the big tables right away instead of starting from scratch. People must buy them or sellers wouldn't buy them.

Id rather play freerolls than play chips. But,it seems that some like to play like this,so there is a place for it i guess. It seems like a giant waste of time to me,but its ok for people not wanting to ^gamble^i assume.

Being in the US, I thought converting play money to real money might be an option, but now I see just how long that's going to take. Plus, I just played a 45 person play money tourney, and it just wasn't the same as playing for real money. Cards weren't meant to be played without anything at risk.

what is money?

money is an agreed upon system of barter....play money creates demand for play money...people want to make play money to sell play money...so they buyin at a million to avoid the "play " money donks creating demand which continues the cycle ad infinitum....time=money =fun =escapism

Selling play chips

The best place to sell fake chips is partypoker, I have made $300 selling accounts. There are chipping macros out there, now there limited to 3 million chips at a time, but before they limited your chipping ability I had built up many accounts with over 100 mill each. I would post a message to all my friends on Instant messenger letting them know I was selling an account and then have them send me the money via Western Union. Just make sure you get the money first. Partypoker has allot of "pumper players", this is when we would take over a table, then use macros to "pump" in a set amount (usually 100 to 200 million chips and then divide them up and start playing. Makes the fake chip games more interesting. Anyone addicted to "pump games" will pay money for fake chip bankrolls.

so they buyin at a million to avoid the "play " money donks

So do they feel there are too many donks in the micro real money games, too? If so, I guess the million play chip games would get around that problem. I never looked at it that way.

Thanks,
dave

I don't see getted addicted to something like that myself, but hey, whatever floats your boat! :)

Hehe... thanks for the info. It's starting to make sense. I really couldn't figure out how play money could be worth anything.

Question for anyone that has actually used this service before: how do you get paid and how do you transfer the chips? Is money sent to your account? And how do you know you won't get cheated?

HOW TO GET PAID

Like I said in my earlier post...I used Western Union to get the money first, then I gave them the Acct & pssword for it. Then they can either use macros to transfer chips in their account or just use the account

Take it for what its worth, but I started a bankroll a few months back doing this. Started with $60, ended with $1.4k. Well worth it imo.

I have never really cared for play chips, i would much rather play the freerolls because people play so carelessly with play chips.
