Unlike in brick and mortar card rooms, where the money is in your pocket, and there is no easy to use option that will stop you from losing all your money when tilting hard, in most online poker sites there is a simple to use option that will ban you from playing, transferring money, and even playing with play money if you so wish.
The use of self-exclusion is not a feature solely for players with massive gambling problems, it is a tool available to any player when is in a dangerous emotional state, intoxicated, playing outside his bankroll etc.
Do not be ashamed to use this feature, it can save you even your entire bankroll.

Oh dear. I once had a right slanging match on another forum over this matter.
Personally, I felt that if a player didn't have the self control to leave the tables for a day or two WITHOUT actively banning themselves, then they didn't have a temperament suitable for online gambling.

I was half joking about banning myself. HALF! Sometimes I get carried away when I start tilting, but I've been working on it. I won't actually have myself blocked, but if I had done it before, I would have a pretty nice bankroll by now!
