I have watched a lot of world series NLH final tables. This is awesome! It has really helped me learn no limit holdem strategy, because you can see what the players have. Recently, I've started taking an interest in the other poker games like PLO, seven card stud, lowball, and mixed games, but unfortunately the final tables for these games do not reveal hole cards - you can only see what players are doing in the small portion of hands that reach showdown - and even then there's oftentimes a muck from the losing player. Hiding the hole cards also makes it nearly impossible to follow draw games where the world will never know what cards were replaced. I believe I heard that hole cards for other games can't be displayed because of technological limitations, but I don't understand why.

If the technology can show two cards, why not four or five?

Will technology advance any time soon to the point where viewers CAN see the hole cards for other games?

Are there any videos online that show every hand/action of a non-holdem poker final table?

Yeah I've seen a few non Holdem games with hole cards shown, try messing and browsing YouTube and you will find some. I definitely remember watching a bit of 2-7 single draw on a YouTube video.

If I remember later on when I'm on the laptop I'll see if I can find some footage with hole cards and post the links in here

Actually, the technology in question here is the software. Dave Tuchman has said as much during the wsop live streams. At this point, no one has been willing to develop software for games other than Hold'em. This is probably because developers do not believe they'll get a return on the investment.

Now, I know what you're thinking - this is from our it's easy to spend someone else's money dept. - why doesn't the WSOP pay for it? Unless someone can show them how to monetize the investment, why should they?

Cheers!
