I am a college student taking online classes, and I had an idea. Why not start a poker school online?

I need teachers though who are willing to teach on online course in poker. You will have to run the course, anwser questions, and guide the class along the learning process. You would be playing with newbies online in a private tournament and teaching them the skills it takes to be a winning poker player.

Would anyone be interested in anything like this?

What's the starting salary and benefits? As it is I already seem to play with newbies online everyday. Although maybe this is counter intuitive. I don't teach the fish I play with what they are doing wrong. Why would I teach them in a classroom before I've even had a chance to take some money from them? Seems unfair, really. That's why you'd need tuition. To make up for the case we can't win from the.;)

On second thought, I think I'll pass. Oh, btw, there are online poker schools already available.:)

Quite a few sites have a "Poker School" which is usually just made up of tips, hints and how to play different styles. I often find these are a silly thing to use though as I believe every player plays a different game.

Many variants of this idea have already been set up, unfortunately.

Timetable :-

1) Teach basics of NL Holdem (5 mins)
Formal training is now over.

2) Send class to 'Play money' tables (2 weeks)
3) Send class to freerolls (2 weeks)
4) Tell class to get their credit cards out and deposit
5) Play NL holdem non-stop
6) Win a tourney and instantly think you are a pro
7) Have a single winning session on a cash table and decide 'you can make a career' out of this
8) Play above your level
9) Lose some big hands and winge like a little girl
10) Moan that 'it is rigged'
11) Start playing TAG and position and BRM, and pot odds and think 'you have sussed' it
12) Win 3 tournaments in a week and decide 'you must be a pro' and you have definately 'sussed it'
13) Dont win a tourney for a month and decide it is 'all luck'
14) Repeat steps 12 and 13 several times for a year or so
15) Play some other forms of poker for a change, get good in some
16) Think you are great in some, until one day you lose a lot of money
17) Stop playing TAG and start playing Implied odds
18) Chuckle to yourself as you snap aces and the kids moan and cry.
19) Continue a mixture of all of the above for years, thinking you are too tight, then too loose, then too tight, then too loose etc etc.
20) Reach a balance and become philosophical
21) Stop winging and moaning for ever
22) Get a good, sustainable ROI
23) Join pro tour
24) Dont make any money, and go back to a regular job
25) Start playing again and realise, damn you're pretty good
26) Lose again for a month running and think 'no i'm not'
27) Get a major win and breath a sigh of relieve
28) Play lots of tournies but at a super low BRM% as you dont want to 'go through all that sh*t' again.
29) Hope you get another major win
30) You dont
31) Retire

End of timetable

Good Luck ;)

Can't speak for other forums but this is a poker classroom. Grab a chair.
