When I 1st started playing online at cardrooms it was at partypoker, and every other player would come in yelling "cheaters, he's using a scanner, yadayada." Everyone on cardschat seems to have played a lot to know if this true about scanners? Are there scanners that can read the cards at the tables?

False... or "Faulse" as you put it. :) (Just teasin)

Creating something like that would be very difficult and time consuming. I don't think true poker players would spend their time trying to write a program when they could be playing.

As a real money player, i was concerned also. I called party poker and they assured me that no software existed that could get through their security. They further explained the "scanner trails...white dots" as a graphics glitch they were working on.

Yeah, that's what they blamed it on, I would be sitting there and the dots would appear and someone would go "Someone's using a scanner" and I thought it would be kinda difficult because you'd have to get all the codes to the site in order to write a perfect program that could get into it and read the cards. Some people just can handle getting beat.
