So like many others, I have experienced downswings, bad beats, donkeyshoves with 46os????!!!
I've read many threads on how to deal with tilt, withstand downswings, etc.
I actually have a stranger poker problem. I seem to play worse during an winning session or upswing. It usually begins the same way:
I'll raise with suited connectors in middle position, like I often do, and all my pet rocks fold. Then that one crazy player who always calls me preflop no matter what calls. flop comes down [bla] [bla] [bla] he checks-I bet-he folds-drag pot-next hand-thank you.
Invariably, he gets tired of it, and plays back at me. Here is where I go pokerbananas. I assume he's pulling some well thought out bluff, and I re-pop him. he calls, and we go to the turn and river. he bets the river and I fold. I just know he's dancing in his underwear, hugging the dog, screaming, "I bluffed him! I bluffed him!"
At that point, I go downhill fast. my impressive stack, built by good value bets and well-timed bluffs, is now sitting in front of some donkey. My image is shattered, my gameplan ruined. I often take a break here and either wash dishes or watch the wsop dvds.
I want to be able to play my game, and not go on "omg-he-called-my-bluff" tilt. Any sugestions would be welcome.
as an afterthought, I notice that many people on here say there is no bluffing at 2nl. I beg to differ. the old " i missed my flush no let me pretend i had a set" bluff happens all the time. same with straight draws and even pair draws. (AK,AQ,AJ,etc.)
Am I supposed to just bet for value, and let hands go the moment I encounter resistance? (please keep in mind I can use no HUD as I play on BetOnline only right now)
sorry if this thread covers to many topics, but I'm only allowed 2 a day, and I have serious thread bankroll management lol.
