So I really have no friends that are better than me at poker to ask this. So i turn to this site.

I have really been running bad of recent. Or have I? that is my question. Am i running bad or is there a serious leak in my game that I am not noticing. I keep getting busted as a 65-35+ favorite preflop

I want to say 6 out of my last 8 sessions I have left the casino with a "i cant believe that happened" attitude. If I am donking I want to know. I cant remember all the hands but I remember a few

I will start with most recent. I am playing the 1/2 NL game and i bought in for $100. Im up to ~$150. I am dealt QQ UTG. I bump it up to $10. I get one caller who is playing a few hands with me. It gets to the BB and the BB raises to $24. The BB is a very aggressive player with a fairly wide range. Clearly at this point i put his range as AK+/ KK+ since i raised UTG and am fairly tight. I call the raise after contemplating folding.

Board comes 3 rags rainbow 8 high board. He leads out $35. At this point I took about 2 and a half minutes to call. I was thinking if he is C-betting with AK or if he knows I have an overpair and hes betting with AA. Anyways, I make the call and the other guy folds. Turn comes K. he goes all in. I automatically fold. he showed me AA.

Later that night against I pick up A9 in early position. I limp in and sb bumps it to $7. the aggressive guy to my right from the AAvQQ hand calls and i call as well. Board comes 9 5 2. sb c-bets $8, and BB (who i know is making a play because he really hates the SB player) raises to $28. I reraise all in for $65. SB folds and BB calls with 9-10. Turn comes a 10, and i miss the Ace and my flush draw on the river. lost buy in

long story's short heres from another session 1-3nl. I call a reraise all in for $60 against LAG with JJ he flips over A10 and hits his A on flop.

I have Pocket AA bump it to $10 get 6 callers. lead out $30 and get an all in raise for $4 more. I call he shows KJ for top 2 pair.

A10 raise get 1 caller. Board comes A- rag-rag. Turn comes rag. River comes 7. i bet on all streets and he has A7. very next hand I have A10 again. 4 limpers and one guy pops it to $20. I reraise all in. He calls $45 more with KJ. hits J on river.

I am trying to make this post not boring and extremely long (probably failed) but I have been busted out of my buy in 6/8 games now and everytime ive gone all in ive been atleast a 60-40 favorite, but most of the time 70-30+ favorite. my question is this. In cash games, is it stupid to go all in over and over again preflop as a 65-35+ favorite knowing that during that session, eventually the 35 is going to bust you? or do you keep making the "correct" move. i dont know where im going with this post (and i apologize) just looking for some advice

Its just varience it happens to us all. Today Ive been running bad myself losing numerous times when big favourite, but it will turn around. If you keep getting your money in good you will win in the long term. Just try to think of poker as a long term game, the short term can really suck but keep at it eventually you will take all there money:D . Gl in future games.

heres a question for you. but i dont know how to put it best. ill try,

Say you have $100 and you keep going all in as a 80-20 favorite against a guy with $1000. eventually the 20% is going to suck out on you and take your buy in. does this affect how you approach a cash game? like dont go all in preflop against guys with way more $ than you? or dont go all in a lot in a cash game period unless after the flop? how do you avoid losing your buy in? because eventually everyone can hit a bad beat that can wipe their whole stack out from $500 to $0 in 1 hand. before i would just get out after i doubled my chip stack, whether the table was full of suckers or not. but since ive seen people frequently take $200 and turn it into over $1,000 in one night, im thinking there is something they know that i dont so i keep playing. but eventually its hard not to go broke over a long night against people with more chips than you

I am not a cash game player and I have never played in a casino so I don't know what its like, but the only play you made that I dont like is limping EP with A9. I have been taught over and over that if you are the first person in you should always raise.

Look Like someone stated It's all Variance and nothing more...Also I'd say if you feel the player has say AA KK then go with your gut, sense live play is more to do with tells observe for those tells....

Also you'll notice over time playing with the same ppl there ways of playing so with that being said do your math, take notes (Remembering all those players at 1 time is very hard to do), so as Harrington states in his book, just focus on 1 player, and only 1 player at a time...

Gl with it
