i was thinking of badbeats, actually the word itself,

for most of people if you lose with AA is a badbeat, ok

but for me the real badbeats are the ones which one loses being ahead after the flop and just because turn and river lift the villain´s hand

for example, let´s say the flop is dealt, and you have a set and you cbet (or donk bet) and the villain try to bluff you and goes allin (you know you have a set, actually imagine this is the top set possible) then turn and river give the villain a flush or a straight

for me those are the real badbeats and the ones that i really get anger about

i remember i hand in a live tournament that went like this:

hero: 6-7s
villain: A-T

board: 6-6-7

hero: bet
villain: shove

hero: shove

turn: T
river: T

OMG!

bad beats

Yep it happens all the time especially on the river. catch top pair,, someone goes all in with A or K high and catches the river..I see it a lot on live games, but you tend to see it more online because of the amount of hand a person plays. That's poker for you, the best hand does not always win.

Yeah, that's a huge cooler. Bad beats are generally those beats where a huge favorite looses to a marginal hand which has no more than 4 outs to win the pot. Although, some players will consider 3:1 underdog winner to be a bad beat. I think, 1 in 4 chance is somewhat borderline to a bad beat.

Badbeats probably you are not the first and unfortunately not the last. Do not worry, in the hand you lost, someday you as well win and you're lucky, and somebody will another to write in forum about you, that you bad beat him..

Ya I hear ya on the bad beats but that's what you have to deal with when playing the game. I consider going into the river ahead with a 10 to 1 advantage(90%-10% villain will win 1 out of 10 times) and losing is a bad beat.
