I just got off of a 45-minute call to Bank Of America customer service getting to the nitty gritty on the subject of "e-wallets". After getting bounced between a couple of departments, I think I got the security dept. The person said that if a transaction occurs "outside of your regular pattern", the system automatically puts a "hold" on your account. You won't be able to use your debt card at the grocery store until you call them to verify that you meant to make this odd e-wallet transaction. Once a regular pattern with that company is established (might take 1, 2, or 3 transactions), then the system won't flag it anymore.

The lady said there is NOT a list of companies that they won't allow transactions with and that complete refusal of any transactions to one certain company is "very rare". If you get a "hold" put on your account, here is the direct Bank Of America number you can call to tell them it's OK: 1-877-833-5617, option 1, then 3 . I will try it soon.

I'm pretty sure I talked to the buisness account escalation dept. The guy there said no transactions to international online banks or something like that. This was about a week or so after the new leglisation was passed and my girlfriend tried to transfer from paypal onto our checking.
Our last try to get the money was in the middle of December so it might be worthwhile to try it out again and call that # if it doesnt work out.

Now I do know for a fact that there is a huge database of companies that they refuse transactions with but that is usually reserved to fraud issues and companies that have ties to terrorist organizations.

Thanks for the follow-up
