I just have a quick question on how a site rakes a hand. I no that they take a protion of the pot usually about six percent but i thought of a scenario when i wasnt sure waht would happen. heres the situation...

Blinds are 1$/ 2$ and im on the button. Everyone folds to me and i go all in with a hundred dollars. Both people on the blinds fold. Will the site take a portion ofthe 100 dollar bet or do they just take it from the 3 dollar pot that was won?

Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks

Good question.

Depends when in the hand it happened.

You will often find they have a no flop no drop policy, which basically means if there isn't a flop then they don't take any rake.

As for after the flop I can't remember for sure, believe if you are playing no limit then the bet will count, though I have seen from when I have played limit that if someone doesn't call the bet and they just fold then your bet won't push it to the next boundry.

I am not 100% sure about that, its one of the things I don't pay too much attention to at the at the table.

In your example though as there was no flop, most sites won't rake it at all.

every site i have played at has a " No Flop - No Rake" policy, only bets called get a rake taken bud.

Generally there is no rake in that situation. If the flop doesn't come most often there is no rake. Some sites there will be a rake taken but most times there isn't. Really you need to read each sites policy on the no flop no drop policy.

Even if its after the flop, or even after the river, most sites wont take a rake on the bet itself unless it is called. So there can be $20 in the pot on the river, then you bet $100 and everyone folds. The $20 will have rake taken out, but not your $100 bet.

I also knew that it was taken if the bet was called, not if it was only placed in the table. But as all the others say each site has its own rules cso I think we have to start reading them before, :banghead: haha...
