No, this is not a sentimental thread about me quitting poker, yet(!!?? )

However, even though Poker is one of the most popular, beloved, and addicting games in the entire world, some people still manage to quit cold turkey.

What would it take for you to cease playing poker permanently?

For me, I do not think I would go as far as leaving the game forever, but depending on the situation (such as losing more money than I can afford), I would probably take a break, ranging anywhere from 1 day up to a month.

quit??

Im sure its easier for some people to quit various habits or behaviors, myself i could give it up for the right reason but thankfully, i don't have to make that decision.

If I had a salary of at least $ 500, I would probably quit playing poker. Honestly already tired.

I did quit Poker for around 7-8 years and I'm coming back to play it because I do enjoy playing it. The main reason I quit before was because I lost interest and I was spending a lot of my time in casinos and playing live. But I was not intending on going pro or living from it.

Fortunately, I had no serious reason to quit playing. I don’t lose much money. It only bothers me that I can’t win much for a long time

For me, it's not about quitting, but taking breaks if needed. Sometimes a break is longer than expected.

For many, poker is like a drug! Someone connects his professional life with him, someone chooses him as a hobby in his spare time. And in order to tie him up, you need to try very hard and find very serious reasons for this.

I don't like to think about such extreme measure, hypothetically or not. I'll answer with a no on permanently quitting. Other alternatives than a cold turkey, walking away from the game.

Have to also take issue with the game of poker being an addiction. That would be more to the personality than the game. Game is not controlling you, you're choice on how much you play and what the consequences are. Taking a break is better than cold turkey, unless it is the day after Thanksgiving.

Nothing is permanent, everything is transient, everything is change. ;)

Do not saturate yourself so that you never leave poker, always be relaxed and when you feel that you do not feel well playing you leave it for a while and come back, it usually works for me when I go on vacation to disconnect and return with energy to play:captain::captain::captain::captain::rock::rock::rock::rock:

At the moment, poker is just a hobby for me, I like this game. If I get tired of the game I just take a break. Well of course I'm ready to stop playing poker forever for just a few million dollars.)))

I quit for about 9-10 years due to not having the time and if I am honest poker has evolved so much.

that would be it, I particularly stopped playing for about 2 years or a little longer. why I couldn't stand the bad and the crazy players but the fact of losing money that you can't is the factor if not the most important is one of the most.

I don't think I could completely quit playing poker. I like everyone else go through the down times and make terrible plays at the table, and then there are the bad beats. I take a break sometimes when things are not going right. Then I get right back to it. I just enjoy playing to much to quit !!!

I already wrote about it and I think poker is addictive, but with the time and experience you have, you can have control and play only as a hobby.

I would quit permanently if I could make money by doing something that I enjoyed more than playing poker.

I will stop playing poker only if there is a more interesting game than poker or it will just not be interesting to me, everything gets boring sooner or later

What would the guess be on the percentage of people that are addicted to poker?

I have thought about quitting many times but never been able too. I have cut my limits down though and do not lose a lot but could spend my time on much better pursuits.
