I think i'm a great player when my mind is right, but often times after winning a big session i'll come back and play totally loose and lose that money I won. I think with my mentality I cannot be a winning player this way unless I can change this. I am young and I guess do not have the patience to do the same grind over and over.....

I was like this a few years ago. Once you realize that money means something to you then you will start to take care of it more. The best way is not to leave, but to play freerolls and constantly grind to where you don't deposit, but try to make money. The reason behind this is because once you realize you don't have money to play games, it'll change your mindset. You won't be playing as often and will help you with your BR management.

I think that you need to stop playing poker when you stop being in control and constantly lose money.

You def shouldn't play until you're in the right mindset. Take a break for a while.

Poker is meant to be a recreational diversion for the majority of players....with very few who can make it their vocation...very much like sports. Many kids play, but few become pros. Too many people seem to think that they can make a good living from poker...the majority are dead wrong.

You throw lots of hands. Of course, every hand in poker has a chance to win. But just because an event can happen, this does not mean you should put your money behind it. The odds will not always be in your favor.

not sure if most of the people are understanding what my post meant.... I cannot control my tendencies to play loose after winning.... which is a flaw in my technique.

I will come back when I have more patience and control.

I heard that compulsive gamblers get "High" from losing and almost always play until they do. Sounds like you may fall into this category- (I know my wife does). Maybe for you, not playing is the best option.

Happens to me practically the same thing, won the tournament and can't leave, and it usually ends with loss

I was very impressed with a news article I read here on CC that interviewed a pro that tackled this subject. Instead of giving you my take on it :icon_sile, here is the link to the article if you haven't read:

I think you need to split the winnings in half and in the second half to play and the other half to withdraw to your Bank account then you will be able to stay in the black

I don't know, it's very difficult when you play +
If you lost a lot, then do not stop playing, you just need to find your mistake, because of which everything happened, if you find it, you'll need to work on it, and take a break, and do not necessarily throw the game ...

Just play for the sake of the game winings and losses are part of the game. In the end only a few players are actualy winning on long term, the rest of us are having just fun.

Yeah, sometimes it gets really frustating but your mindset is everything. Try to take a deep breath after some fail and keep going. Good luck!

What makes a good poker player is someone who can overcome the feelings you get after losing.
