Most people know made pair is usually slight favourite to 2 overcards (non-pair) in H2H all-in situation. Anyone know what situations non-pair overcards are favourite to made pair?

Pre-flop. Which 2 non-pair overcards are favourite against paired undercards pre-flop.

I didn't think (or didn't know, I should say) that there was such a hand.

If I have to play overpair vs. made pair pre-flop, I'd hope for something like this:

Me: A♠K♠
Opponent: Q♣Q♥

That way, I get the added benefit of having three cards to a straight if my opponent hits a set, and I also have a 50% chance of that third queen being a spade to help me along.

Or:
Me: A♠K♠
Opp: 22♥

That way, I'm ahead if two pairs fall on the table. That might be enough to tip the scales, I guess.

Edit: I checked on cardplayer.com. In the latter case AK is favorite. Is it because of the two pairs, or is my reasoning off?

Edit2: Hey, [As][Ts] is even better!

AKs to QQ is underdog. You're right, AKs is favourite to 22 (but not 33?!). Must be because of risk of being counterfited.

The hands i was refering to are TJs and JQs. They are favourites over pairs 77 and under, because of extra flush, straight possibilities. Higher suited connectors (i.e AKs) have less straight possibilities, so are slight underdogs.

F, how did you type card symbols like that?

Interestingly middle suited connectors are a favourite against an unsuited high-low split.

AK plays worst against QQ, as the queers interfere with straight opportunities.

Like this: ["qh"] (without the quotation marks) gives you:
Q♥

["10s"] gives you
10♠

etc etc.

Not a mistake at all, with all the talk of hand nicknames i thought i would slip one of my favourites in. I'm not that way inclined at all!
