So I currently play 25NL FR and have ran at about 6BB/100 over about 20K hands there. I'm coming closer to having 30 BI's for 50 NL and just had a few questions about 50NL.

1. Is the play that much different, more regs, better regs etc.

2. Does anyone have the VPP/hand ratio for it?

3. Also if anyone knows any of the good regs that play this level.

2. is ~.23, when I played 50nl (like ~5-6 months ago) had a few more regs, but still plenty of fish and easy to avoid regs when game selecting. Not sure how it is now.

Hey I just moved to 50nl and have played a lot of 6max and recently went back to fullring on advise from BW since he said the game is A LOT easier at fullring, and I have to agree with him.

If you have 6max experience and move to FR the game seems slower and easier. There are so many fish the only problem is just avoiding the landmines and playing through the bad beats. The regs are really too tight and are NOT used to 3betting at all and a light 4bet folds them every time short of AA or KK. You should crush the game.

I don't remember seeing any noticeable difference between nl25 and nl50, whereas I did notice a difference between nl50 and nl100 (mainly just alot more regs). There aren't all that many regs are nl50 from what i remember and very few of them are any good. So you might as well give it a go...50nl is still very soft and you can actually make some decent money there.

OK, I don't want to be one of those guys.

If it's 3bets to me then I'll 4bet KK+ and fold everything else. If I'm the original raiser and someone 3bets then I'll call with whatever and 4bet KK+. I'll fold to 4bets w/ anything less than KK (sometimes I'll fold KK).

Is that too tight?

If the other players are not 3-betting you light, your play is perfectly fine. The problem comes when the players notice they can 3-bet you and get you to fold everything but KK+. If you're at 50nl and down there doesn't seem to be a ton of it. But at 100nl 6max and I've heard 400nl FR (I play 200nl FR and I don't see a ton of people who 3-bet light, maybe like 2-3 regs who do it well) people will start to have 3-bet stats of like 8%. You can't be just 4-betting KK+ then. So depending on the games you play it's probably fine, just know that as you move up and run into players who 3-bet light, you have to open up your flatting, 4-betting, and your stacking range a bit.

Im not too familiar with the terminology (even though I know I have to learn it) could you explain it in lamens terms???

A 3 bet preflop is a reraise. So if somebody raises to $4 and you make it $14, you have just 3 bet them (because the bb counts as the "first bet"). On later streets a 3 bet is a reraise ie. bet...raise then the reraise is a 3B. A 4 bet is simply the bet after the 3B (so a re-reraise).

3 betting light is when you 3 bet with a much wider range (so suited connectors etc), and in certain circumstances when you know villain's range is wide and villain needs a good hand to continue you might 3 bet with absolute trash.

@ double-A

As zach said, it depends on ranges. If you are playing 50nl FR, then that is perfectly fine, because most ppl's 3 betting ranges are very tight, so 4 betting light is just dumb because ppl aren't making plays at you. 4 betting light is something you can do to combat light 3 betting but unless 3 betting ranges are wide you do not ever want to be 4 betting light. I don't even advise 4 betting light at 50nl 6 max, cept mb vs certain regs. You don't even have to 3 bet light in 50nl 6 max to do well (you could even get away without 3 or 4 betting light in 100nl 6 max with no problem...but you'd then be missing out on some value imo).

Reminder that you need to commit only 10% of your bankroll to a single game. This will keep you through those coming dark days.

Committing 10% of your bankroll to one game is pretty much asking to go busto, that means you only have 10 buy ins. Most people wait until they have at least 20 buy ins, probably higher until they move up in stakes.
