Hey there, was just asked a question that I don't know the answer to.

Can I use my computer and log into another account and deposit into it at Titan? My nephew wants to bring me his acct. # and have me deposit $20 into it from my computer. He is new to the whole thing and would feel better if I was around to help him. Do I need to go up to his Apt. and do it from his computer or can I do it from mine? Don't know the answer to this, any help would be appreciated.

Well, I've never actually done what you are asking, but you should be able to log into his account from your computer. Personally I've never run into a site that won't allow multiple accounts from the same IP address (afterall there can be multiple players living at the same place). Usually the restriction is about having multiple clients running. By not allowing multiple clients they can put a damper on collusion. So just logging in to a different account should be fine.

And if you are going to use NetTeller, then it won't matter either. Because you'll use your log in details to access your NetTeller to deposit money into the account you're logged into.

You can simply transfer money from your ID to his ID, assuming you have the money in there :)

yeah, you could do that too. But that would be too simple for me to have said that. :) I prefer to make things much more complicated.

Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you to help me out. I didn't even think about transfering it to him. I just thought we'd use his credit card but transfering would be much easier.

When they ask for the password on the last line, do they mean mine or his?

I just thought we'd use his credit card ...

I'm guessing that the credit card wouldn't have worked. Most don't any more. From what I understand, even the few obscure ones that did work, are very limited if they even still exist.

The password they want should be yours (it usually is). It is there to verify your identity so that if you are auto logging into the client, someone can't just walk up and transfer money to their acct. They'd still need your password. Also, Titan has live online support that will work with you to make this happen.

Note: If you transfer funds, you won't be able to play at the same tables with the recipient of the funds (to stop potential collusion).

Credit card won't work, since we're in the US. DON'T transfer any $$ to him on Titan if you ever want to be able to play with him. As long as you have his account # (the one starting with TTR) and his password, it should be fine.

One word of caution though. If they pick up that you're doing it via the same IP address as your account, they could potentially lock your accounts. But, it will probably be fine.

NOPE ! Sorry but your fine. Myself and KillerKat both have accounts on multiple sites, and play at the same time from the same IP Address. As long as you dont play at the same tourney/Table as each other there is no problem..

Email support if your worried.

Me and my brother have previously both used seperate accounts from the same IP address/computer, the only difference in details being the card used and first names and we never saw any problems.

Ah, good to know, good to know. And now I have to say "Duh!" Because Matt and I also have our own accounts at different sites (although not Titan)...why I didn't think of it, I really don't know. :D

I know this has nothing to do with what Freak asked about, but I wanted to add this.

Personally I've never run into a site that won't allow multiple accounts from the same IP address (afterall there can be multiple players living at the same place). Usually the restriction is about having multiple clients running. By not allowing multiple clients they can put a damper on collusion. So just logging in to a different account should be fine.

I'm not so sure about this anymore Jack. I know on JetSet months ago you could have two users from the same computer(of course not at the same time) But when I went to sign up my mom on my Dad's to add her on the JetSet account on their computer a week or so ago, I got everything typed in and pressed finish and a box popped up saying you already have an account on this computer.

On a different situation, I had to get special permission from JetSet on our computers, for my hubby and I to play a weekly league on the same IP. Four emails later and we were approved. We can play in the same buyins or MTT freerolls but not at the same ring games. (I know this is the multiple clients on the same IP)

I do believe that Paradise is going this route also. I think after the fiasco late last year/earlier this year was it at pokerstars? With that kid playing on his Grandmother's name and winning that major tournament. It also discourages others of signing up on multiple user names for a buyin or freeroll and playing then signing off then signing back on with a different user name.(This is what that Kid did) I think this is sometimes why there are many sitouts for tournaments especially freerolls. Even though I don't have proof of this but it sure makes a bit of sense to me.

I'm not sure how many rooms are going this route with the IPs and the same computer but I had heard that a few are going there if they aren't already. I just don't know for sure since I already have accounts and some multiple accounts for Larry and I at many of the rooms that I have downloaded in the past and have had these for quite a long time.

Now I do know that if I want to play on JetSet or Paradise I can play on my parent's computer with no problems. My first deposit infact at Paradise 2+ years ago was on my parent's computer where I originally signed up the account.(Back then I know they allowed multiple users on the same computer)

I guess I went on a bit more than intended but I just wanted to add this information, it may be helpful to some.

...everything she wrote...
Wow, excellent info to have. Thank you for sharing all of that. I haven't run into it myself, I guess, because I am the primary player in the house. Didn't realize/know that this is the way things are going. Guess I can see why too, but it is really sad that this is what it has come down to - unskilled kiddie fish playing multiple accts from same computer.:(
