When I first started playing poker it was in pubs around the place and I would play a minimum of 5 days a week and sometimes 6 and 7 days a week. Over the past 6 months I taken a step back from playing so much poker because I am looking for a quality rather than quantity and it became obvious to me that because people in pubs were mainly playing for fun it was not the quality poker I desired.
This is not a put down of pub poker, I just that my game was going nowhere and in some cases getting worse because of the poor play I was encountering in pubs. So now I only play at my own home game and in tournaments into bigger tournaments either online or at my local casino.
While I dont play as often my play has improved markedly because of the players I play against.
Has anyone else overloaded on too much poker before and had to rein in their play?
