Clarify your query please:confused:

And in standard or close to standard English syntax might help.

sorry / is there an intimidation factor from aggrevating or trying to psche someone out / if someone is calling u names at table for no reason or aggrevating u by constantly going all in & winning with shiot & then talking shiot about it / what % does he have as an advantage by putting u off your game & out of the zone because you r constantly paying attention to his retard remarks

Firstly, I think using chat to annoy people can be very effective, although I don't do it myself. I'd much rather have someone else put a player on tilt and reap the rewards. I think we've all seen the player who suffers a bad beat then shoves all-in the very next hand.

Secondly, did you write these messages on a cellphone, or is English your second language? If not, I weep for the American education system.

It is impossible to put a percentage on the amount smack talking can help you win.

I think that is a viable stategy to use but I don't think you can put a % on it. Online? The problem with using this online is, chat can always be blocked. So its really hard to say.

Mike Caro has fairly conclusively shown that getting everyone to be your friend has far more +EV value than putting them on tilt by making them your enemy.

Only advantage is that he is a donk and may be bad beating me, I will say he has among 40% to win against me.

since I will call any hand I think I will have a small advantage to win against him.And I would have in that situation most of the time 60% ore more to win against him......

And he has 0% of getting me on TILT

i believe the last time i posted , it seemed to have quite an effect on many people who not only replied to the post , but had to show there negativity (hoping it would bring them to rise above the rest) by degrading the trivial facts of the post itself such as typeigraphical errors or insinuations to the person who posted (moi) to make me feel bad. Thus instead of ignoring these comments , i retaliated , & instead of learning or replying to the question at hand , it became a mudslinging contest.I never claimed to be an english major , but at 46 i've learned alot & been to 6 other countries in this world to have had an opportunity to learn other customs. For those who continue this immature way about them , let me say, enjoy if that is your desire in life to nitpick on others who are trying to be what nick asks us here , to get involved , to become more family orientated, so be it / my posting is now closed/ tyvm / bluedove / the drunk ol indian

I don't want to sound rude but why do you put /'s everywhere. It seems like you put them in places where some people would hit enter and start another paragraph.

You have any links for that info? Sounds like an interesting read. I'd assume that if you played really tight and wanted more action, getting the table annoyed at you would be one way to do it. But, I'm sure Mike knows better than me.

i would think it'd depend on the way you play, tbh. phil hellmuth would probably disagree with mike caro's assertion. and i think tony g does much better by having a big mouth and urging people to go after him, because in reality he's kind of a nit.

basically if you're a nit who's getting in with monsters virtually always, i would think having people targetting you would be more advantageous. if you're loose and splashing around a lot, like say daniel negreanu, then maybe you'd rather have people like you and be your friend so they don't mind as much when you take some pots here and there. makes sense to me, anyway

If was a cash game, I'd rather have a friendly environment. This way when they bust out, they feel good about buying back in and having a good time.

If it was a tourney, I can understand why one would want to annoy others to try to get them out of their game plan.
