Problems getting started with holdem manager (progresql issues)

So I downloaded and redownloaded this holdem manager many many times, with and without the progresql together, but i can't get it to work. This is what happens:

I open holdem manager (after i successfully installed it).

I get the starting screen and see I have some days left as trial.

I click the "try" button and he starts initialising

After a while, I get the error: "The following error occurred when trying to open the database: Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1'"

I click "ok" and the Database Control Panel opens, with 4 spaces to enter stuff, and they are called: "Server name" (already filled in with 127.0.0.1), "Port number" (5432), "Login name" (postgres) and "Password" (postgrespass). Together with an opportunity to click "connect".

Now, I've tried many passwords, aswell as the passwords that are given on the website and spent at least 8 hours trying, re-installing, reading faq's etc, but nothing worked.

Can someone get me started?

This happens probably because you had progresql already installed. Did you had PT3 before (the default pass for PT3 is "dbpass")?

No I didn't have it and I also used dbpass as password..

The absolute best way to take care of HEM issues is to visit the HEM Forum and you can both lookup your problem, and specifically ask about your issue. Admins and experiened users answer and solve your problems pretty fast. Good Luck

Open a CMD window with admin priverleges

Type => Net User postgres *

enter a password

If that dosent work, you have installed the upgrade rather than the full version.
