Preparing for very first live game? Any tips and advice?

Basically the title says it all, just want to know what will help me to prepare for my first live tournament, its a 1 day tournament, buy in is 120 and prize pool is 20,000 blinds go up every 30 minutes, im new to this only play online recreationaly in low stakes games so I know this will be a kinda a step up as ive never done it before.

Be patient. Play your cards. Do not rebuy if it allows you to, unless you absolutely can afford it and have planned for that. Do not try any stupid bluffs. Trust your gut. Keep an eye on the average chip stack for the tourney and try to stay somewhere in that vicinity, especially early on.

I think the best advice is that you need to be rested,sleep good before the tournament

I haven't played a real live tournament yet. But i'd say relax, don't play different then you do online unless you have any reason to. But that is also what you do online. You play your normal game. See how the table is and change your game to the players you have at the table. And ofcourse, enjoy it! Try to get comfortable at the table.

Yeah I try play as solid as I can and just keep to the style I play of course try mix it up when I can im still new to the game I havint made any serious money i just like playing for the game itself, gonna be honest a bit nervous with the whole new surroundings if u get me im used to just sitting in my room playing online I never even played in casinos before theres not much around where I live u have to travel a good bit to get to a casino and unfortunately I dont drive but seen this tournament coming up soon its in a function room in a hotel close enough away and said might aswell give it a shot ill definitely stick to all ur advice and with a bit of luck hopefully make it to the money. Ill let u know how I got on its not for another 2 and a half weeks.
