What a bunch of #@%&*)^% hypocrites. I just reviewed a news article that covers the bill but completely omits the poker exclusion part.
http://www.dotnews.com/2010/gambling-bill-fast-track-house-too-fast-some-say

They increase their revenue and take care of the casino lobby and at the same time eliminate the competition. The proposal allows for the creation of two resort-style casinos and up to 750 slot machines at the state’s two horse racing tracks and two former dog racing tracks. It also creates a five-member Gaming Commission to license and regulate gambling. Some funds would be directed to gambling addiction programs.

You could try firing off a bunch of personal letters and phone calls (get as many friends or family members to do the same ) to your/their representatives in MA. The only thing that may help a little is a good communication making it perfectly clear that your vote will do the complaining for you. If every MA player could recruit 10 helpers to bombard the political offices in MA, it could make the difference.

I also personally believe that the approach of opposing gambling could be more effective in this situation. (Opponents of the bill say it’s moving too quickly and is need of an extensive public review. They also say bringing expanded gambling to Massachusetts will also carry heavy social costs and up the number of problem gamblers within the state.) I think the politicians are more afraid of the moral right rather than some online poker players.

Hope this thing fails and things work out for you.
