I'm not a PLO fan, but I played in Decathlon and I have taken a very high position..I simply play more tight than NL Holdem, and I'm not trying to bluff.Just wait to very strong hands

I find Omaha mind blowing every Hand can lead to really big pots pre Flop

I love PLO. I think it requires more thinking than hold em. I wish it was more popular online for tournaments as I don't see many. Hopefully soon it has more of an impact online.

I intently studied this article and I hope, that information presented here will help me in the future Omaha games, since I`m absolutely fish in this discipline of poker))
I try to avoid Omaha games, but it`s well-known fact, that players who play all type of poker better understand Holdem.

I play all type of games but Omaha is my weakest one, and especially PLO - maybe because I did not learn it deep enough and did not practice it enough. I would recommend to stay away from PLO if you do not have good knowledge what you have to do in these games :)

And the strategy article linked above gives the reasons why!

I play only PLO live. No disrespect to hold em players, but I believe that PLO is the purest form of poker.

If you get angry easily from playing Holdem, I would not recommend PLO. As mentioned several times in this thread, the variance in PLO is insane compared to Holdem.

For example only in Omaha can you have top set on the flop and still be behind LOL.

:ah4::as4: :kh4: :ks4: has only about 45% equity vs :9d4: :8d4::5c4: :4c4:

on a :ad4: :7d4: :6s4: flop
just quote this one, but it's obvious most people do not know what variance means.
Actually variance in Omaha is lower compared to Holdem.

Read this again.....variance in Omaha is lower than in Holdem.
This because most of the times the difference in equity between hands in Omaha will be much lower than we often see in Holdem.

It's just, when in Holdem having the best hand on the flop or turn, quite often you'll still have the best hand on the river as your opponent most of the times will not have many outs or runner-runner outcomes.
In Omaha, due to your opponent having 4 hole-cards and so having a bigger chance to hit one of his outs on the river or making a runner-runner hand, you'll just lose more hands while somewhere in the hand having been the favourite.

Just do not make the mistake thinking variance is the same as counting the times losing to an opponent hitting one of his outs, which in Omaha can be many.

a certain time ago I was losing a certain amount of money playing at the casino holden Live and when it started the round of omaha I was able to recover all the value that I had lost and I still gained a value more.

although omaha is pot limit Generally people bet very strong and hands that are not so good making the pot get too big and it is easier for us to get a good value by following a simple rule and trying to play tight taking advantage of opportunities with hands that play well after the flop.

POT LIMIT OMAHA

Very good game dynamics change slightly from the texas hod in such high pair or two pair or even cracks are not as strong games to play reading and force pre flop does not give much difference as the opening of letters and this is exciting because it is very full house against full house and flush against bigger flush then who does not know is worth playing and realize the dynamics

I did not when I did not learn to play in Omaha. I'm trying to learn to play well. Well, I was in a period when I several times went to play in Omaha and did not understand what my chances were to win.

I have read many articles about the PLO and to a large extent I can understand them; but already in practice I find it difficult.
This happens because in its great majority the flop usually calls you to continue betting.

In this article they recommend playing connected cards and giving more importance to high cards; but in fact of the Omaha variant I prefer the H / L, I think that in this variant of the poker the mathematics are used very well.

I am still creating a bankroll to dedicate myself to playing this variant of the Omaha H / L in medium and high limits.

Hi, I eh played a few times PLO, is very similar to NLH, with the difference that is played with 4 cards, but I play a lot more NLH, it is one of the games so I knew poker, and is one of varieties of games that are more popular, and clearly has its disadvantages, the harder the game from since he is famous. But it's the one I like. regards

PLO-8

The transition is somewhat difficult, and perhaps more so with plo-8. I personally play PLO-8 (aka PLO Hi/Lo) regularly, and have found it to be both fun and profitable. I usually favor hands that have both hi and lo so that if I don't get any cards that help me win the high hand, I can still split the pot by winning the low.

To be clear, low hands are cards A-8, and like regular PLO, two cards must be played from your hand and three from the board.

By only playing hands that have both high and low cards, I have twice the chance to win, and overall can play more hands than just waiting for high cards.

The only downside is that there are quite a few splits where winning half the pot doesn't make much profit, but again, I play more hands and have lots of fun.

There are two variants that I am extremely passionate about.
But I like to totally control the situation, PLO becomes more complicated to hit a hand forecast.
With this, I like NLHoldem more.

are two very different modalities in one you can lose faster than in another, the pot limit modality omaha we must learn more of this game of 4 cards connected with the 3, 5 best of the flop, although we see it easy is a very quick drop in money , I recommend that you play in blinds micro 0.01 / 0.02 $ since without perfecting this game we can lose, the no limit hoden is more popular and it is where we all want to play, I am more interested in the sit & go tournaments and in omaha cash tables, and I recommend that you read step # 2 of the article the position is very important in both games ..

I like playing PLO here in CardsChat Special Events. Recently, my interest in this game is growing.
The advice that I want to give for beginners in this discipline is: do not try to independently determine the best hand at the showdown each time otherwise you will go insane.

This is a really very exciting game. But for those who have a decent bankroll. This is a very dispersive game, as for me. I think that there can not be such a thing as bad beat, because there is a luck cracks more than the skills. Before plunging into this game, first have a good bankroll. Because, even if you start playing, leaning the game itself, it can be so captivating that you will not notice how you will lose everything. Good luck!

I love OOP, but I try to play heads up, because I just can't sit still during the tournament and I fly out literally in the first minutes. this article clearly shows examples of good starting hands and further drawing, I hope it will help me a lot in the development of Omaha.
