After lengthy games in the no-limit hold'em, I decided to try my hand at Pot limit Omaha This kind of poker is very interesting, does not give you the opportunity to go all in! It also develops the ability to count the number of outs! Who else plays this game? Your impressions Pot limit Omaha?

Did you say the river bet was not too small?

PLO is all about the outs. If u start with a power hand and raise to build the pot and separate a few players from the hand, that's just the beginning. It's after the flop that the game begins, all of the way to the river.
Easy game to learn and play...very hard game to master.

There is a lot more to pot limit games than it looks at first. Many beginners who run well in the beginning eventually learn that its very complex. It is a post flop game where you should almost always call 3 bets with drawing hands and never get attached to hands like aaxx

I would suggest learning from YouTube videos and even watch games from live at the bike

Hate getting two pair, 4-card straight/flush, set, or quad in my hand... Most of my outs are gone before first bet. Very fun but at the same time frustrating game.

I've lost a boat load of money in PLO mostly because I thought my NLH skills would transfer better than they did. As Dwan puts it PLO is everyone's worst game wich means you can be worse at it and still profit.

Hello! Can we more broadly describe the previous post? My game does not like you? Or did we play at the same poker table and my playing style was not right for you?

I guess yes because in pot limit the risk is not so high. If you play only good open hand you will bring more money in your bankroll. And its a easy go on game. GL

I like the hi/low variant :)
Altought I sometimes miss with the low-part, where that part is sometimes split-pot

I'm just starting to get into the game. So far I like it but I am not doing that well. There is more to learn than the amount of knowledge you need for hold'em.

I like PLO and find it to be a less stressful game. However, I really dislike the Hi/Lo PLO because the pots get split a lot and it seems like a waste of time.

No money in PLO. Everyone's solid.

j/k

It's a great game, but it's also a game that it's really easy for inexperienced players to play badly. If your major takeaway from the game is that you can't go all in and that you need to pay attention to your outs, then it's probably best not to play the game for real money until you've put in a lot more study...

PLO is a very fun game. It's a more nuanced game than holdem. If holdem takes a lifetime to master than PLO takes 5 lifetimes to master.

Its a crazy high variance goofy game. It rewards nut pedaling and makes for a pretty boring spectator sport. In all seriousness, it seems like a super cool game but I've yet to have the time to try to improve my play.

Say my name and I appear :)

I assume you are using a translator, he was referring to me coming in and giving advice on the hand.

I'm fine with the 3 bet preflop but post flop is just kind of a disaster. There really are 2 options to playing this flop which would be check/ jam, or donk pot. Reason for both is actually the same. Villain ends up having AAxx pretty much always, With AAxx Im fully expecting him to just want to get it in. THe only way a villain with AAxx doesnt get it in is if we donk small like what we did here. donk potting makes some sense if you are trying to pretend to blow villain off of AAxx but I don't think anyone folds AAxx so there really is little risk to doing it in this spot. Either option is fine, i personally go for the check jam since villain is c betting close to 100% here so there really isnt much thought needed.

Also bet more every street :)

PLO is complex but in a simple way.

Also just a side note, even though its not a NL variant, there is no way you are playing PLO and not getting it all in less often than you do at holdem. Sure its not preflop as often but you will be putting more money in more often in PLO than any other game

Yes! I love it. But tournaments is very small.
Still love horse too.
PS basically people play only hold'em.
And the ability to play any other game, even a little better than fish, will give a plus on the course

Lots of fun, yes! But not always fun with me, it happens that I take money when the river is cruel! But weak players play not counting outs! Many people do not know the rules of Omaha!

Yes, I, too, these advantages are interesting, I hope they will help me to be ahead of many players! I also really like playing poker like 7 cards stud

what I don't like about it is the draw I mean your flopped nut always gets beat.. and they will press you all in with the draw and it seems to hit about every time.. don't step outside the bankroll management

PLO is a great game and is starting to gain a bigger gruop of people who play. It can be a bit swingy but fun to play.
