They didn't send out an email about it, so I almost missed it - 20% deposit bonus up to $120 (if you deposit $600) available until Monday.

wow..20percent...last of the big spenders is pokerstars....it would be alright if it was immediate 20 percent but you still have to earn it....probably have to play 2000 games at 2 and 4 dollar tables to earn a dollar

(still gonna deposit tho)

- The bonus doesn't expire so you can take months to clear it if you like
- You only need to get 5*bonus amount in FPPs, which is piddlingly easy.
- It's clearable at 1/2, albeit a little more slowly (you prolly get on average 1FPP per 2-3 hands at a looseish 1/2 table)
- Please tell me of any major site that gives you an "immediate" bonus without you having to play there at all (affiliate stuff doesn't count).

Basically, Stars owns, and you're whining without really having a clue. ;)

they used to as recently as maybe nine or ten months ago...funny that now they are bigger and making more profit..the bonuses are smaller and harder to clear....just making a point on the so called bonus crap..especially to the newer players who are lured by the advertising and find the small print long an ruthless..and Dorkus ....just cause i play for fun more doesnt make me clueless son....been here for a long time too in the poker world...and usually get along just nicely in live games....make sure you have a clue before judging.

Okay... let me see if I understand their system... You can enter for ... lets say 50$ (i am on a limited budget, being a student). So I put up my 50$ buy in. They are willing to offer me 10$ bonus, if i earn 50 FPPs... is that correct? With 50$, if i lose EVERY SnG I enter, i will have 28.5 FPPs, correct? This is the 1.50/.25 SnGs. Each one is 1 FPP (25cents per FPP, right?.) Therefore, just by playing through the 50$, and losing all of it, i am halfway there. If next month, I buy in for 50$ again, i can do the same, and have earned my 10$? I mean... its not really worth it... but while playing VERY poorly (due to being distracted... shoulda waited til weekend when had free time to spare), i earned 79 freaking FPPs off my 50$ buy in. So its like... 10$ free?
I hope they do more of these in the future. Would love to get that free money... might have to Buy-In for a larger amount than I'd like... and just use DISCIPLINE to not play more than my 50$ allowance that I give myself, per month....

You pretty much have it correct.
The pokerstars bonus is best looked at THIS way:
You can play SNGs or MTTs RakeFREE.

If you have $120 of Pending Bonus in your account. it will take you $120 of entry fees to clear it.

I'd have to say FINALLY they get their act together and offer another bonus. They've been milking us all for deposits without bonuses for about 4 months now.

Umm, play 1/2 at least. Sounds like you're playing .25/.50 or similar.

4-tabling .50/1 and 1/2 LO8 I can clear it pretty sharpish (pots get big frequently because there are so many horrible LO8 players).

If you play sit and go's its much much quicker if you find stepping up to $1/2 a little steep.

For a $10 sit and go you get 5FPP's which effectively clears one doller. (rake free sit and go's :) )

Even $5 SnGs give you 3 FPPs. So that might be the lower money route.
