If you mean the server is rigged, and people have influence on the cards. No that is very unlikely unless you are playing on a underground server which is unknown. If you mean that people can watch your screen, that is possible but also very unlikely unless you've made some mistakes and got infected by someones virus. If you don't feel comfortable you can always clean your computer. Make sure you never share your details or skype with people you don't know or don't trust.

There are some programs that are legal and which are helping and playing poker online, but there is also illegal programs intended for that .
I dont now accurately their true power, but this power is certainly not small.I belive that someone will already give you a better answer in terms of the program

think helping programs are ok for analyzing your own pokerstyle. But i hope all poker rooms have protection against the illegal hacks ...

If my understanding is correct. Poker Servers only send your card information to your machine. There is no data for you to see others card even if you tried.

Heard or one case back with UB. It really hit them hard as far as revenue. Only case I have heard of. Running a success business you have to trust where you spend money or time.

No thats not possible. You shouldn't be worried about that.
Thats just very unlucky, and you didn't play that hand wrong. The guy with 82 is just a donk.

There are lots of posts about certain sites rigging cards so theres more action, but ive not heard about hacking atm...

Although i think i remember a story about someone having pocket aces, and three aces came on the flop//..... The tourney ended and everyone was refunded their money...

I'm not sure about that not being possible.I've seen people on Youtube bragging about the hacks injected in some online poker rooms.

I have to believe it is possible, after all Ed Snowden is in exile because he sort of blew the lid off the can of possibilities. Somewhere in the bowels of the governments of the world there is the capability to see exactly what everyone , or anyone is doing.

I choose to believe the poker sites are doing all they can to prevent the kind of problems OP is worried about. I also choose, in general, to not worry about it.

But at the technical level, it is probably hard to do, but doable. :(

I like your question, i asked myself too.Read a lot of info and read carefuly Terms & conditions. They wrote about helping programs.I think server is setup to move money from one to other player in circle to get more rake from the table. This is my view about this issue!:creep:

Someones' gotta win and someone's gota lose, if you lose , another person wins, how can it be rigged.. Poker rooms just collect the rake. However, there has been an issue with Absolute Poker, something like ability to see everyone's hands, but it got shat down shortly.

All software have this thing called a back door, no homo. There have been at times where I have felt like "something" causes me to lose connection in keys spots, hands, etc. I have connection everywhere else, including on the computer I'm using but for some reason the poker client is acting ghey.

:hmmmm:

from wiki

A backdoor in a computer system (or cryptosystem or algorithm) is a method of bypassing normal authentication, securing unauthorized remote access to a computer, obtaining access to plaintext, and so on, while attempting to remain undetected. The backdoor may take the form of an installed program (e.g., Back Orifice) or may subvert the system through a rootkit[1]

IMO you don't have to worry about this going on in the micros, if somebody has a secret advantage they're not going to be screwing around with dollar tournaments or 5/10 cent ring games.

The people that run these sites arent choir boys. And anything may be possible but not likely. The stock market is rigged but I dont think online poker is. I wouldnt put anything past some of these sites. Anyone else think the US govt is the biggest ponzi scheme ever known to man? My point is this day and time almost everything is corrupt. thats a shame.
