I recently have found it really important to split your time up. Time Management + Bankroll Management = good poker player. I play MTTs/SnGs on Bovada
, I have a full time job and a wife/friends. I just started playing online agin and and spent the last month and some change building a bankroll from $40 to $350. I neglected my job, friends, wife, and life. All I did after work was play and at work all I did was study. Well I took my bank roll down to $3.47, yep.... I took two days off of work and lost it all trying to make a run, playing when I was board with no BRM. Stupid stupid stupid lol. Its all good with me though. I learned a lot over the last month about poker and life.
My new schedule:
~Play only three days a week and stick to my BRM(Monday, Wednesday and Sunday)
~Study Poker for at least one hour every day(book, forums, Videos, PT4) Im lucky in a way because Im able to do this at work but in return I do some studying for work and try to learn something new( I work in the IT ). The days I don't play I do extra studying at home.
~Work out 2 days a week at least. Usually some cardio for an hour after work. I try to do this on my days off from poker. The days I get to play I'm so excited I just jump right in as soon as I get home.
So far this has been working out a lot better for me however it has only been two weeks. Im getting my bankroll back up slowly with out rebuying. I'm back to $40 and waiting on a nice $2 MTT bink.
Good luck out there
